-- Includes a chronology of the author's life and era
I am not sure how broad the audience is for a book like this, but it was illuminating. In terms of literary criticism and insights, it is much more useful than Francine Prose's Mrs. Dalloway Reader.
This book was thorough in detailing aspects of Virginia Woolf’s works, and how her stream of consciousness flows throughout. The dissection of her complex novels makes this an interesting read. If one wants to write precise novels, this is an excellent guide for breaking apart novels for the sake of putting together your own.
This is such an insightful read into Mrs Dalloway, it's very reliable and original. Would 100% recommend for both academic research reading and just for pleasure !!
