"Why didn't the computer go to the prom? She didn't have a data." (Eva Blank, Jokelopedia)

If your life is a joke, I think you will enjoy this book. These jokes are clean, so you should be able to get a clean-get-away with adding these to your communications. The book is ordered by topics, give some pointers for those who want to be funny, and spotlights comedians, sitcoms and funny writers who made a splash in the world of funny.

Some jokes I wrote down were:

Short Jokes
● Why wouldn't the pet store take back the chimp? They didn't offer a monkey-back guarantee.

● What happened when the pig couldn't get up from his fall? He called a ham-bulance.

● What kind of books do skunks read? Best-smellers.

● Why couldn't the frog find his car? It got toad away.

● Why are some school classes not very interesting? Because they were developed by the BORED of Education.

● Why did the student put on eyeliner and mascara in school? Because the teacher said she was giving the class a makeup exam.

● Why did the mother always put on a helmet before she used the computer? Because she was afraid it would crash!

● Why were there jumper cables hooked up to Betty's computer? She asked her dad to restart it.

● What did the chicken say to Arnold Schwarzenegger? "I'll be bock ... bock, bock."

● JUDGE: Order in the court!
DEFENDANT: I'll have a cheeseburger and fries, Your Honor.

● What do prisoners use to call each other? Cell phones.

Longer Joke

● One night a police officer noticed a car that was traveling very slowly down the highway. When he pulled it over the driver asked, "What did I do wrong, officer?"

"You were going 26 miles per hour on a major highway. There is a law against that," the officer replied. "You have go at least 50 miles per hour."

"But when I merged onto the highway, the sign said 26!" explained the driver.

The officer laughed and said, "That's because 26 is the name of the highway, not the speed limit!"

The driver leaned back in her seat, baffled, and the officer noticed another woman, extremely pale, sitting beside her. "What happened to her?" asked the officer.

"I'm not sure, but she's been like that ever since we got off on Highway 160."

Knock Knock Jokes
● Knock, knock. Who's there? Hatch. Hatch who? Bless you!

● Knock, knock. Who's there? Doris. Doris who? Doris locked. That's why I knocked.

● Knock, knock. Who's there? Thor. Thor who? Thorry, wrong door.

● Knock, knock. Who's there? Justin. Justin who? Justin time for dinner!

Tongue Twisters (SAY THEM REALLY FAST!)
● A cheeky chipmunk chucked cheap chocolate chips in the cheap chocolate-chip store.

● I'm hooked on the book Brooke brought back from the Brookside bookstore.

● Kent sent Trent the rent to rent Trent's tent.

Some of these were like eating a clown, they tasted funny. Others are like listening to your doctors jokes; they can be used put you to sleep.

Jokelopedia is overall a worthwhile read. It is full of a lot of funny jokes and also has little passages to read to pass time by. It is not great and sometimes seems a bit effortless and unoriginal. It is a decent book to read to just pass time by, but it seems that the author searched the internet for thousands of unoriginal jokes just to fill the book. It is nice that the author categorized the jokes so if you were looking back for one it would be easier to find. For instance, several bug jokes are grouped up on a few pages and the next few pages might be related to computers or lawyers.
While the book is somewhat amusing and useful for passing time by, it does have a pretty specific target audience. A lot of the jokes were funny, but you can tell that some parts of the book are really targeted to amuse a younger audience. For children who enjoy telling jokes, it would be a great book to read to keep them interested. The book has little tips on how to tell jokes also, which would be great for children who are looking for jokes to tell. There is good categorization, whether it be separating jokes about a certain thing or separating knock-knock jokes from more complicated ones. It is a well put together book, however it can be somewhat unamusing at times for an older audience.

This book was funny. This isn't really a book with characters like normal books, it was a book filled with puns, jokes, silly stories, and more. I loved it. I recommend this book to people that want to be a comedian and want to make people laugh, or want to read this book for fun.

Give this book to your 10-year old and they will think it terrific...but for adults, it is filled with a lot of groaners, puns, and outdated stories about comedians. It's perfectly fine, but know who it is for before you get it.

Awful

This book was not funny at all. I️ think that the author of this book just took a bunch of random jokes and put them in a compilation without reading how bad these jokes are.

I also liked that it told you about some famous people and had their pictures. I also liked that it had one or two pages of knock knock jokes. I didnt like that I didnt understand some jokes at first. I also didnt like that there wasnt that much knock knock jokes. At least there was some. I also didnt like that there was disgusting jokes. I liked that there were some funny jokes. I didnt like that there was some jokes that I didnt think were funny. I like the name of this book too. I also like that the book had so many jokes! I think that people who wanna be comedians should read this book! I think there should be more joke books like this one! I didnt like that most of it was jokes that werent knock knock jokes.

Although there are a couple of funny stories that made me laugh, most of this book is a compilation of bad puns. Maybe I find them bad because English is not my mother tongue or because I am a grown-up and I had the feelings those puns were so lame that they must be intended for kids.
In addition to the numerous puns, the book also features some short (funny) stories, some pranks that kids may play on their friends or relative, some advice if you want to be a comedian (my advice : look for good jokes somewhere else) and the portrait of famous humorists who in my opinion are mostly known by adults rather than children.
So I am not really sure who is the intended audience for this book, but I sure do not belong to it.

“An outstanding example of why Patterson is known as one of the bestselling writers of all time. His popular detective, Alex Cross, pursues the perpetrator of ruthless serial killings and experiences near-death encounters in Washington DC and Nigeria - alone. The spine chilling plot kept this reader checking door locks twice before going to bed. Awesome.” Reviewed by Dorothy Dubel, Author

A good variation of joke styles and lengths. I really liked the pullouts about the history and the technical practice of comedy. A surprisingly awesome number of women represented in the "Spotlight" section. I read the 2013 edition. Though I was left longing for an index and a Richard Pryor mention.

I loved this book. It has all different sections of jokes like Truly Tasteless Jokes or the Knock-Knock joke section. Every 40 pages (or something like that) there is a funny fact or a helpful hint. This book even shows the oldest joke ever! Every chapter and in between every chapter there is a picture. Like a picture of fish or a giraffe or even a flaming bird.

The kids really liked this and enjoyed telling us the silly jokes. I liked that some of the humor assumes prior knowledge or understanding of word play which leads to explanations and understanding that may have never come up.

I should have looked closer before signing out this book from the library. While it contains LOTS of jokes they are mostly at an eight or nine year old's level. Therefore only 2 stars from me perhaps 4 or 5 from kid's point of view.
