Contains some good basic information (and easy to read), but some elements are out of date. I was disappointed that there was no discussion of raw feeding.

Barron’s “Ferrets” owners manual is one of the best ferret books I have read thus far. It’s way more thorough than most older books on ferrets. Older ferret books seems to be broken down into 2 main parts; what the HECK is a ferret and way more information than I needed to know about their reproductive systems. This manual thankfully goes beyond just those 2 points. There are tons of tips on training, play, discipline, shedding, bathing; the list goes on! The manual also provides a handy list of poisonous plants and an entire section on health. Oh and the photos were adorable! Highly recommend this to any current or potential ferret owners.
