What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas definitely did not apply to this couple. What should’ve been a simple one night stand goes awry and turns into something so much more than either of them were looking for. Xander’s cup runneth over with BDE and, honey, Amara was not ready for what that young cub put on her. But, don’t get it twisted. My girl gave as good as she got. We love a sexually liberated cougar and that’s exactly what Amara was. Sis was bold and not ashamed to ask for what she wanted, how she wanted it, or where she wanted it. “I always got you” and that he did! After reading Annette’s review I knew I was going to enjoy reading about Xander and Amara! This was such and sensual, grown and sexy read. A true boss in every sense of the word, both Amara and Xander were living out their dreams from a secular standpoint but missing their person to share it with. After breaking up with her whack *ss boyfriend Amara was ready to bet it all on a night of fun with Xander while in Vegas. What she didn’t anticipate was the game being rigged and falling deep in like with Xander. After a heart to heart with his father on the day of his 28th birthday it didn’t take him long to realize that Amara was the total package and someone he could see forever with. Despite the 7 year age difference, Xander showed us why he was BIG Xander not the little one. The sexual energy between these two was palpable. I mean just explosive both literally and figuratively! His age was the only thing that made him seem young but he was a grown man in every sense of the word. Amara may have referred to him as a cub but he showed her who was king of the jungle while taming that cougar! Whew they were next level spicy! I loved the sisterhood amongst the friends! Their group chat and girl talk was lit! If my friends don’t support me and ride for me like these friends did, I don’t want them! This was a NTM author and she left me thoroughly satisfied! I would definitely spin the block in the future!

Baby, Xander owes me nothing! I almost threw my phone a few times reading this book. It was an unexpected experience that I couldn’t get enough of. Only For Tonight should have been a one time situation in Vegas that quickly escalated when Amara and Xander laid eyes on each other. Amara’s ex made it easy for Xander to take his rightful place as Amara’s man. I will say this book started out slower than I anticipated but when the hallway scene happened it was up from there! We love a vocal heroine and Amara is definitely my shero. She told Xander to stop playing with her and I was here for it!! Like, I know you’re a gentleman but less talking, mkay! The way I was highlighting and squealing while reading was not even funny. This was a good read!

Tonight turned Always
Whew grabs fan and a water. Xander and Amara were HOT!! The whole time I was reading this like put it on em make him wanna marry me 😂🤣 Now mind you this man was all in before any thing sexual occured, but once it did he felt like he had met his match.
Xander was celebrating his 28th birthday and being the fine rich man that he was he could've had any woman, but as soon as their eyes connected it was only one he was interested in. Which was interesting because he kept women at arms length, but Amara was different and because of that he treated her differently. He didn't hesitate to treat her as if she belonged to him, because in his mind it was already done.
Chilllle Amara had no clue what she was getting into. She thought this young cub as she put it was just gonna crack her back and she was going to be on her way. Xander gave not one fxxk about their 7 year age difference. Amara didn't count on their crazy chemistry, their goofiness, the off the chain sex, or the ease of being accepted as her full self. Xander made it easy to pursue something more with him. I loved that they threw all the logistics to the wind and bet on each other. Time together never matters when the love is real.

I love a good insta love! When you know you know and Xander knew Amara was it for him! I also love the banter between the two of them, a lot of cute/funny moments. I’m not the biggest fan of age gap but maybe that changing for me because I enjoyed this! Also if I’m having a one night I need the sex to be like this! And nothing less ok! Xander and Amara were nasty with it! I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to reading more by this author!

This was my first read by Kimmie Ferrell, and I’m completely in love with this book and its characters! This book started off with hilarity, and that sucked me in, but the connection between Xander and Amara was so heated I couldn’t look away from the pages as I watched them combust. This couple was a good look adding in her homegirls and his friends, and this book could not have been better. If you’re looking for a great book with outstanding dialogue, flow, and characters, this book is definitely the one. I need more from this author in the future!

Okay, if you haven’t read Kimmie Ferrell’s novel (Her Forever Fling) and novella (Nine Frosty Nights) then first of all, do! And second, this book is very different!
While both of the aforementioned books are sweet romances that get a little steamy at times, Only for Tonight is ALL STEAM! Both of Ferrell’s previous novels focus on the characters’ relationship which develops over at least a week whereas OFT focuses on one night…and sex. Amara and Xander’s relationship is not meant to be substantive — they’re not even a couple — BUT I loved that Xander could read Amara so well, even beyond their physical chemistry.
Ferrell still gives us both characters’ perspectives throughout the night which we know I love, and if you’re looking to learn more about the characters, mini spoiler: you will, but just a little. Another bonus: cameo appearances of Ferrell’s previous characters. (Maybe Amara and/or Xander will show up in Ferrell’s next book!)
I’d recommend this if you like reading very steamy books. It’s pretty short, but fast-paced — there’s a lot happening in that one night!

This novella follows Amara and Xander, who meet during a bachelorette party in Vegas for Amara's friend. Xander sees Amara and immediately wants to know her, and he makes it happen. It helps that Xander is a professional footballer and owns the hotel where Amara and her friends are partying. At first, Amara doesn't want to entertain Xander since he's seven years younger than her, but he is very persuasive. One thing leads to another, and these two realize that a one night stand isn't going to be enough.
It was hard to keep up with what was happening. I felt like the author tried to do a lot of explaining about things that weren't really relevant to the romance. This was distracting and hindered my overall enjoyment of the story. The writing itself wasn't my favorite, but I do plan to try one or two more books from the author to decide if maybe this book just didn't work for me.

This was unbelievably funny and incredibly sexy. I loved the dialogue and banter between all of the characters. This is a new to me author and I’d be happy to read more of her work. This had a lot of the things I love in a book. Strong fmc, possessive dirty talking mmc, humor, and good smex. Even if the writing and details got a little muddled at time.

Amara is on girls trip to Vegas living her best life freshly broken up with her ex who meets Xander who is a pro athlete and also fine as hell is out celebrating his bday. From the gate I wanted Amara to get the orgasms she deserved on this trip. Cause her ex is a whole clown 🤡. And the whole time I was reading this I was screaming eff Marquis.
Xander knew what he wanted and wasn’t going to settle and I love that for him and Amara. Although she was hesitant but a girl deserves love and someone who loves you for you and not who they want you to be, as well as snatches your soul 🤷🏾♀️. While Xander and Amara were a hot mess they were a hot mess that made sense.
No strings attached? No expectations? Is that really possible when them feelings get involved and you start thinking about the what ifs? I loved that while Xander was all in…he would tell Amara to stop overthinking and that he got her. And that ish had me all up in my feelings. Cause he knew she was his person 🥰

amara was a bit reluctant to start anything serious with xander because she had just got out of a relationship but he made his intentions clear with her confidently and suavely and i can’t lie i love a bit of braggadocio in a man🤭… but just a bit cause these men can and do get carried away

I received this book via ARC from the author and I promised to give an honest review.
I loved this book and this couple so much. Xander was bae and Amara was relatable and all about doing her. Their connection was so genuine and quick. It was a literal “you had me at hello” type of vibe. They were so funny together too. It was like they met their best friend and had known each other for years with the way they connected and joked with one another. Xander was all about Amara and was determined to make her his past one night. Amara was skeptical because of their distance and his career but he made a believer out of her. The intimacy and intimates scenes between these two were so fire and so spicy and well written. You could feel their instant connection. I also loved their friends because they came with the laughs and calling them out when necessary. I look forward to what comes next from this author.

Only For Tonight is one of the best erotica romance stories I’ve read in a long time. Kimmie Ferrell, you did that! Xander and Amara’s story will resonate with me for a long time. Xander wasn’t playing, and he let Amara know it in every way possible. Forget that older woman-younger man stuff, Xander was on a totally different level. Amara was his before she even knew it.
I loved the lover’s dialogue between Amara and Xander. It was real grown-folk language. This one line almost took me out: “Xander complemented my fly, equaled my confidence, and fitted my freak.” That line by itself is worthy of an award!

I had heard so many good reviews about this one I had to read it. One thing for sure once Xander got Amara he was all about her. “I got you, always” that’s what I like to hear a man say and follow through. This was a quick read with a lot of spice really enjoyed it. Amara’s friend group were hilarious in the chats. She really had solid and relatable girlfriends.

January 1, 2023If I’m being real, Kimmie really didn’t have to do much convincing for me to read this book. All I heard was Older Woman(35)/Younger man(28) and it was like a bird call for me LoL! “Only for Tonight” is sexy and full of instant mind blowing chemistry. This couple gets it in and the dirty talk is freaking superior. I absolutely love the banter between the couple and their friends. Also, the friendship dynamic just flows so well in this story. Xander is is definitely on his grown man shit. I loved how in a short time, he is so in tune with her and doesn’t hesitate to prove to her that his plan is to enhance her light, not dim it. The book did start off slower than I would’ve like and there are a few scenes of them as a couple I would’ve preferred be fleshed out on page. Overall, I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to more of the author’s erotic stories.

That was how Only for Tonight opened up and my face formed into the gif of Tami Roman saying "Oh". I was curious as hell to see who and where that declaration came from because who in the hell...!
It didn't take long for me to get the answer to my nonverbally spoken question. And Amara's EX-boyfriend was lucky her homegirls were not privy of all of the bullshit he said and did. Well, until... But I'm skipping too far ahead. Let's rewind to where the good times rolled because Amara and Xander gave me all the spice I needed. It was also a nice switch up from all of the Christmas books I have been devouring like it's going out of style.
Things to know about our hero and heroine of the book: This is an Age Gap Trope (older woman/younger man; 7-year gap), the heroine is a boutique owner and launching her own clothing line from DC, and our hero is a football player in Las Vegas.
OFT opens with Amara at a bar alone while her best friends are elsewhere, enjoying the festivities of the bachelorette weekend they were in Vegas for. When she tells the girls, via text, of the slut-shaming words that were spewed, they were ready for the retaliation and for her to find something tall, dark, and hard to give her amnesia of the "reformed fuck boy". And unlike some books where the heroine is hesitant to do that, Amara was all for it.
When Xander invades Mari's space at the bar, her mind was singular: Sleep with a stranger and collect a souvenir. What she got instead, was a night with a man that was willing to make her leave her man for him. Little did he know, he no longer had someone to compete with. If I had to choose a favorite scene in this book as the most memorable, it would have to be when Amara's ex kept calling her after the deed had already been done. I loved and hated that part of the book, because I love revenge when the other person did you dirty like her ex did. I personally would have taken it a step further and let the jerk listen in on how well Xander knew how to please her since he didn't want to believe the words that were coming out of their mouths. But I guess everybody isn't as petty as I can be.
There were some parts of the book I was confused about, like the explanation of transitioning from the day party to meeting up at the birthday party. They seemed to be added in a rush after the fact. Context clues helped me get to where I needed to be though. Aside from some moments seemingly sped up, I was engrossed in the banter between the two main characters. You could tell they fit in every category and not just sexually. The author stated this box was outside of her comfort zone, but I could not tell. That is a show of truly good writing skills. This was my first read from Kimmie Ferrell, so I have nothing else to compare it with in her catalog. But with this being my introduction, I ready to dive in and see what else she has to offer. I do want to thank Kimmie for allowing me to read an advanced copy of the book for an honest review.

That was how Only for Tonight opened up and my face formed into the gif of Tami Roman saying "Oh". I was curious as hell to see who and where that declaration came from because who in the hell...!
It didn't take long for me to get the answer to my nonverbally spoken question. And Amara's EX-boyfriend was lucky her homegirls were not privy of all of the bullshit he said and did. Well, until... But I'm skipping too far ahead. Let's rewind to where the good times rolled because Amara and Xander gave me all the spice I needed. It was also a nice switch up from all of the Christmas books I have been devouring like it's going out of style.
Things to know about our hero and heroine of the book: This is an Age Gap Trope (older woman/younger man; 7-year gap), the heroine is a boutique owner and launching her own clothing line from DC, and our hero is a football player in Las Vegas.
OFT opens with Amara at a bar alone while her best friends are elsewhere, enjoying the festivities of the bachelorette weekend they were in Vegas for. When she tells the girls, via text, of the slut-shaming words that were spewed, they were ready for the retaliation and for her to find something tall, dark, and hard to give her amnesia of the "reformed fuck boy". And unlike some books where the heroine is hesitant to do that, Amara was all for it.
When Xander invades Mari's space at the bar, her mind was singular: Sleep with a stranger and collect a souvenir. What she got instead, was a night with a man that was willing to make her leave her man for him. Little did he know, he no longer had someone to compete with. First of all, what happens in Vegas is A WHOLE LOTTA, LOTTA! Baybee, when I tell you to lay your edges because they're about to get snatched...YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. What happens in Vegas doesn't always stay and one night is not always enough.

Hold up though, this 35 year old woman about her business meets a 28 year old footballer, Xander who is wise beyond his years and about his business and things go from 0-100 real quick. These two compliment each other in a way that makes you feel like they were destined for one another. They have slick mouthpieces, they give as good as they take, and their chemistry is explosive. I love that they joke about their age difference and their "cougar/cub" status but it doesn't diminish what they have. Friend U Can Keep
These two heat up the pages out here being grown and acrobatic and I wasn't mad about it. I laughed hard, smiled throughout the entire book, swooned, and lost my breath. When this book hits the platforms tomorrow, you have to pick it up IMMEDIATELY!

- This is my first Kimmie Ferrell book and Im definitely going back for more lol. This instant attraction and down right sinful book was really good! Perfect introduction lol.
- Amara is the boss lady! Shes grown and sexy with a hustlers spirit. I really loved how playful and funny she was. Then its Xander and with a name like that you know his character was gonna eat down.... and thats exactly what he did! Repeatedly and unmercifully lol😏! He was a beast in them sheets yall. He also was a basketball player who knew how to invest! In business and in love. Amara is 35 and Xander is 28 and I love a good age gap with the woman being older!!
- I was living for the sexual chemistry these two had. Now it started out slow and I knew this going in but once they take it there chile its UP and its stuck lol. I also enjoyed how these two could sit around and kiki. I was laughing right along with them. It was the perfect insta attraction turned committed couple I've read in a while. Also that epilogue and them chapter titles! Yeah definitely enjoyed this one.

She catches the eyes of Xander at a day party & no matter how electric the chemistry is, she lets him know that she is a taken woman & she don't get down like that. But little did they know that her man would make it much easier for Amara to let Xander show her a good time.
This was a short & spicy read that I was quickly wrapped up in & loved everything about it. From the sexual chemistry, to Xander staking claim on Amara & even Amara letting him know she's a grown ass woman. I loved the dynamic of her friends & their group chat 😂 I wished the epilogue focused more on Xander & Amara, but I still loved her friends loving the way Xander took care of Amara.

I received an ARC of this book and whoooooo shit was it hot! Kimmie gives me so much passion in this book and I love it. She really masters the art of anticipation here. There's a slower build, but not once did I get bored. Amara and Xander are meant to be, and I know that from the start. I love that even though they wonder how it will affect them, they lean into the inevitability of it all. Their banter is funny and the sex is amazing. It's slow and fast, giving you all the imagery you need. Coming from another writer, taking a one night stand in stages like this is hard. She does it well. You do indeed get the feeling of falling. It's pretty great.
Also, I love me a man that says he's going to handle something and then does--in multiple ways. IYKYK.
