Atlantis: Inspiration for the Future

Rate this book
Inspiration for the Future is a fictional book based on a true story. It all begins with a teenager hiking in uncharted territory among barren mountains, valleys, and rain forests. Then, at night in a dream, while sleeping in a mountain cave, he encounters great personalities of the past, including wise prophets and the light of God. While climbing a barren mountain on his return trip home, he gets tired and rests on a stone for a short nap. This stone is not just any stone, but an ancient concealed time machine that assimilates dreams of the past, including the glorious, splendid Atlantis. The dreams take him on a whirlwind adventure as he revisits his childhood as an immigrant to Atlantis and the ancient wonders of the Atlantis people.

What ages would I recommend it too? – Fifteen and up.

Length? –A couple of day’s read.

Characters? – Memorable, several characters.

Setting? – Fantasy, alternate dimensions.

Written approximately? – 2005.

Does the story leave questions in the readers mind? – Yes.

Any issues the author (or a more recent publisher) should cover? No.

Short storyline: The story id told in five pages. And then again in 36 pages from a religious perspective. Then, yet again in 134 pages. In places within the 137 pages, the story repeats with changed details.

Notes for the reader: POV can be confusing. Several times, verb form is incorrect, or words are missing, leaving the reader to wonder what the intended message was. First person stories can be very confusing, so someone who is used to first person dream stories may better understand it. Also, in a few areas, there are characters saying things they never would in real life. This is a self published book. If the author could have afforded an editor - it could have been really good! The pictures are excellent. For them alone, it's worth having, if you like fantasy, and engineering.
