If you have any interest in photography (not just black and white film photography) then you owe it to yourself to read Way Beyond Monochrome. It is a technical manual for how to manipulate black and white film and paper, but reading between the lines, it is a manual on how to shape the world to match your imagination, using all the tools at hand. And truly there is no greater pleasure in this life than to see your vision made real.
