Joy Dawson has written a powerfully inspiring book. What Joy has written in this book with the documented accounts of her and other peoples powerful prayer experiences from around the world, are truly amazing. In this book you will see the demonstration of the power of the Holy Spirit, being authorised, activated, released and manifested in the degree of the miraculous. In this book, Joy displays many different types of situations and how to pray and intercede for the people involved in those situations, resulting in great breakthroughs and results. There are many amazing accounts of revelation knowledge on behalf of others in knowing what and how to pray on their behalf. This book truly reveals the capacity of the power of prayer and will dramatically inspire you to pray regardless of circumstances, or what they may display, that it is never to late to pray, no matter what. I believe this book will impact you in such a way that you will want to step up to a higher level in your prayer life. When you discover the powerful potential of effectual and fervent prayer that it will deliver supernatural manifestations of God's glory into the situations you are praying for, you will be moved and compelled to participate in this powerful practice. Through my experience I can say that there is a powerful anointing on this book. I would highly recommend this book for every Christian to assist in our obedience for sowing the seed of intersession on behalf of others.

This book, by a woman who taught at Youth With a Mission (YWAM) seminars, is chock-full of sound spiritual advice on praying for other than oneself. However, it is not for the novice or tepid Christian - and, no, this statement is not intended to make whoever reads this humble review feel intimidated. It can, indeed, be "thrilling and fulfilling" but be forewarned: true intercession demands commitment beyond what most of us are comfortable with; in other words, personal sacrifice of time and energies.

If there's a book to recommend to every christian it will be this!
Joy Dawson combed all area of intercession from children to nation to spiritual leaders and people in power, nothing left unturned. Wow!
The bible verses helped to explain things vividly. But I'll advise you to read Loren Cunningham's "Is that really you God?". It teaches on listening to and waiting on God, that will help you swim through the contents of "Intercession, thrilling and fulfilling" with so much understanding. It also helps to understand the life of Joy and how far she's come.
I am so thrilled at the way she explained everything in great detail, giving example where necessary and how important it is to follow God's directives and to pray in and with the spirit. I recommend this book to every Christian. I don't know about you but I want to grow!

I have been saying deep down, as did Jesus' desciples, "Lord teach me to pray."
And here comes this book.

In 20 chapters Joy covers so many topics eg Praying for:
Friends
Children
Nations
Spiritual leaders
Secular leaders
Revival
The unevangelized etc - each with appropriate scriptures..
in groups and alone.

I have put my other books away, and expect to spend some weeks learning and applying these lessons.
