Hahaha this book is my childhood. I remember in Elementry school only wanting to read this book and hating all the other ones (crazy right!! Elementry me was missing out). It’s a funny, random, and intriguing book that I just love!!

Need information on medieval torture instruments? How to hypnotize a chicken? What to do if zombies attack? In case of earthquake? How to say, “Excuse me,” in 14 languages? You’ll find all this and more in this collection of unusual bits of information. Pencil illustrations add humor and emphasis. There is no index or logical organization, rendering this book virtually useless as a resource, but kids will get a kick out of the variety of unusual subject matter covered, making this an interesting additional purchase for the 000 section of elementary or middle school libraries.

Hilarious facts that you didn't even need to know! Stuff like how to hypnotize a chicken, how Attila the Hun died, and how smart you REALLY are! If you liked this, definitely read "Children's Miscellany Too"!

This book is one that I considered reading in elementary but never got the chance to. It is a fun way for students to become knowledgeable on things that are useless to them now but that they may come across in the future.

It's cool, except for the fact some of it isn't true. Defiantly awesome, 9 year old Abbie, my daughter loves it and still hasn't read every little bit. She loves it, I love it!

The concept of this book was great but there were some parts that I did not agree with so I quit reading - such as Gruesome Methods of Execution - Practical Jokes - Insults
