Ice is the fifth fantastic book in The Beast King Brides series.
I am addicted to this series; it is full of drama, it is sexy, it is fun and it is full of paranormal romantic goodness. They are Kings, alpha males in all shapes and sizes with Vampires, Shifters, Elves and more. It is sexy, sizzling, smoking Hot, it jumps right off the pages and leaves you needing more.
They find sassy, headstrong females but not everything goes to plan. These men are ruthless power players but underneath it all are men who love fast, they love with their whole heart.
Charlene has woven a captivating, tangled web of lies, suspense, drama and love. The characters are to die for, and each have their own voice in this series. I love that we get their POV because it makes them more real.
There are plenty of witty moments and humour that will have you laughing out loud.

Absolutely loved this story!!! I enjoyed the concept of the swapped powers and it was interesting to see how the big powerful dragon handled that, but along the way we learn some interesting things about the phoenix king and I enjoyed their relationship as he’s been quite elusive up until now.
I love how Tassos has become an important character to the stories and I’m genuinely liking him now.
POSSIBLE SPOILER
at the end for the switch, Tassos could clearly have done that when they first went to see him but chose not to, did he see the connection and want to give them the chance to fall in love I wonder.

Predictably Good

Daegal and Penelope’s story was similar to the rest of the storyline’s with the reluctance for love and hard decision to be made in the end. There were definitely some changes as far as there being more than one relationship brewing and not the same villain. The steamy parts were every bit as lip biting and I wished there were even more parts to read. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to get to the last one.

Love the Beast Kings
Ice is book 5 of Charlene Hartnady's The Beast King series. Each book gets better and better. This series will have you laughing and in the edge of your seat. Penelope is a great character. She is sweet, innocent with a side of sass and a hidden sexiness. Deagal turns out to be a truly wonderful character. Ryder and Ivy are an added bonus. Tassos character is just LOL hilarious. I can't wait to read Ax's book next.

This is the next book in this wonderful series! Charlene continues to weaves a complex, interesting, romantic, action filled and steamy series! Wonderful characters and a great story! This is Daegal and Penelope's story I loved it and I can't wait to read the final book in this series! I read an advanced copy of this book and this is my unbiased review!

I love love loved Daegal and Penelope’s story!!! Penelope was so so cute and sweet and tough all at once. Daegal was an alphahole and so so protective of Penelope, too. They were perfect for each other. I can’t wait for Ax’s story next!!! Love this book and this world and these characters!

In the previous books Daegal has been very serious and not really opened up about his past but that all changes in this latest one of the Beast King series.
Daegal & Ryder encounter Penelope & her sister Ivy after Daegal falls from the sky due to a freak storm. They are going to find out why he fell & at the same time the girls are investigating what happened as they are weather witches who don’t know why this happened either.
Strangely it seems that Daegal is losing his dragon while at the same time Penelope’s white hair has changed colour & her winter weather powers are diminishing.
There are some absolutely hilarious parts as Ryder & Ivy have an instant attraction that creates some annoying nighttime disturbances for Daegal & Penelope.
The mage with the biggest ego Tassos is back to stir everything up & we get to see more of Ax the Phoenix king who is definitely going to be in trouble after it’s revealed that he is no longer the only Phoenix!
I love everything about this series and this book is a winner for me.
I was lucky enough to be given an ARC but I’m happy give my personal opinion of this book as it’s such an easy read.

good continuation of series
I long waited for this next book in BEAST KING BRIDES. To come out. Finally my only issue is the end. When a decision needs to be made. Saying they must choose now within next few mins about what to do and how to do it, they literally waffle back and forth, for what feels like an eternity! It’s excessive and annoying I had to skip through a lot of it and their mental reasoning was a bit difficult to follow. It was so obnoxious! JUST PICK ONE AND DECIDE ALREADY GOODGAWD, GESH and the incessant we may not be compatible and, we have to pick a random mate we can’t be together.. it’s just so stupid because all the beast kings have all went through the exact same thing. A mate that is different from them and they are compatible mates and yes they can be together so why is it soo difficult to wrap your head around the fact that all the beast mates will have a mate that is not their own species, except perhaps “Ax”. But that is for the next book in series.

Ice Storm
This is Deagel & Penelope’s story. Deagel is to be crowned the new king of the dragon shifters beast master. Penelope is a weather winter witch. She works nonstop & has no time for a social life. Deagel has a lot of responsibilities with his duties. He’s only allowed to date other dragon shifters & mate with one, if she passes the final, most important test of compatibility. Deagel experiences a tragic loss in his life that’s changed him. That change turns his life upside down & sets him on a course with destiny that he never saw coming. MOF, neither did Penelope or her sister Ivy (side bonus interwoven tale that’d I love to read if there was ever a book wrote about them..hint. Hint). I love how we get to catch up on the other characters that have been along for the ride thus far, as well as meeting the new characters. If you don’t mind foul language (just makes the story extra IMO) & the very hawt sex scenes (only 2 with the main characters), it’s a great story! Highly recommend!

A simply wonderful addition to this series, great characters and wonderful scenario
This was a great addition to the wonderful series and I guarantee that you will love the story and the characters which will hold you totally captivated from start to finish and I guarantee without doubt that you’ll be unable to put book down unto you are finished.
Ice is a series that stars these major characters and they are Daegal who is trying his best to grab control from his twin brother as the leader of the dragons, he wants to be their king. And then there his Ryder who is his companion who happens to have discovered two women that were actually in the middle of investigating freak snowstorms and subsequent damage.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

Penelope was sick last night but she feel better this morning but after looking in the mirror in the bathroom she has just had the shock of her life. Her hair has turned bright red her eyes are golden what is going on? Daegal is to become the Dragon King in a few weeks but he needs some down time so he a his second in command go to a cabin that his family has but then while out flying something strange happened Deagal is covered in ice and fall to the ground. The next day Penelope and sister Ivy take off to find out about a strange blizzard what they find is Deagal and Ryder looking into it to. That when thing get started. So enjoy another good read and find out if there is a HEA!!

A fantastic addition to this series! I absolutely loved this book! Daegal and Penelope are amazing and such a great couple! Daegal is such a grump but really is sweet! Loved his nicknames for Penelope! Penelope is a sweetheart! These two are going through so much and I felt bad for them but I loved how it turned out! Ryder and Ivy were hilarious! This was a fantastic read that I couldn’t put down! Excellent series that I highly recommend! Can’t wait for the next one! This is my honest opinion of this complimentary copy of this book

Knew it would work out for them Penelope is a catch, well mannered, sincere, with some spunk. Deagal on the other hand is a big teddy bear, hard on the outside and nice and mushy on the inside. Loved that Ryder got his happy ever after with Penelope sister Ivy, and having triplets. Tilly got her wish to be a winter witch, Penelope now Queen suits her she is a true leader humble and kind. So now can't wait to see what surprise is waiting for Ax, another Phoenix maybe...who knows patiently waiting

Another Fantastic Read
Once again, Charlene Hartnady blows us away with her steamy scenes and imagination. She doesn’t ever disappoint and this series has been no different. I absolutely LOVE the Beast king series and all the others as well. I’ve read the vampire kings ones, the bride hunt series, etc. As always this book is full of adventure, drama, mystery, love and sex scenes that almost jump off the page they are so hot. Can’t wait to read the next one! Gonna go start it now 🤣🤷♀️

I wasn't expecting to like this one much since I didn't want Thor to be out of the beast king fold but I enjoyed it. One thing I wasn't crazy about was that Daegal didn't get his own dragon back. The plan Tassos had to take the magic out of Daegal and give it to Tilly then give Daegal back his dragon and give Penelope a new one would have worked fine. He said they would have to wait until she had the baby to turn her but Jade was turned the second time after they knew she was pregnant so I'm not understanding why Penelope would have had to wait.

This story is funny, witty, and endearing! Charlene Hartnady doesn't disappoint with Daegle and Penelope! I love that we get to know Daegle better as he was so serious in the previous book. He and Penelope have some much they are each going through but ultimately it works out. Their chemistry is hot! Their companions, Ryder and Ivy, are hilarious! A great addition to the Beast King series! Can't wait for the next one!

I wasn't sure if I would like Daegels book. He was a jerk to his twin brother in the past. But, he redeemed himself. And the author keeps things always different and interesting. Weather witches, who has ever hear of them? But such a great idea! Penelope is a weather witch and ends up crossing paths with Daegel. Their story is sexy and Fun and all the supporting characters are great. We get to visit with Tassos again, and he is a hoot!! I can't wait for the next book!

The unsuspecting weather witch meets dragon king due to a phoenix that was awoken and does not want to be alone, so she thinks she is alone. The power swap leads to some crazy shenanigans and ultimately to love. Great story that introduces our final beast king book. Again our favorite mage is involved but not directly, and opens up for a book of his own as well. LOVE this author!

Great read!
I really enjoy this series. Each king has,a different outcome but they seem to center around Tassos. He is a great character! One mi ute you hate him then you love him then you want to kill him. 😊 He is unpredictable which makes him fun. Looking forward to the next adventure.

LOVED it!!!!
I love love loved Daegal and Penelope’s story!!! Penelope was so so cute and sweet and tough all at once. Daegal was an alphahole and so so protective of Penelope, too. They were perfect for each other. I can’t wait for Ax’s story next!!! Love this book and this world and these characters!

Brilliant Series

Page Turning Greatness
Once I started reading this book, I couldn't stop. The plot line had excellent twists. The dialogue is funny. The pain that Penelope and Daegal experience is so real that I feel every emotion. Thank you for this great gift. I can't wait to read the entire series.

The Beast King Brides book 5. Daegal is now the Dragon King and heavy is the head that wears the crown. He lost his power in some strange involuntary swap with a winter witch named Penelope. But as the book goes on they fall for each other. However it is not without craziness, smexiness, angst and high drama. Loved seeing the crew and even that crazy mage His Greatness.

Can't help it, these are great reads. Pee is feisty, fresh, and a perfect match for Daegal. I love me some Tasso . I still haven't figured out if he's good or bad, but i'm going with good for now.
Y'all really need to read this one, and not just this one book but the whole series. I'm on my last book of this series and starting to look at other books from Charlene Hartnady. Love her style.

Totally AMAZING 😁
This series just keeps getting better and better 😃. This story is more than just the Dragon King's brother taking the throne 😉. It's a setup for the Dragon brother, plus the Phoenix King, witches and of course Thannos the Greatness thrown in 😄. Thanks again Charlene, I've truly enjoyed this series and look forward to seeing what happens next 🤓.

It was fun reading
So about this book. I have mixed feelings. I don’t know why…
It has everything. Good story, lovely lovestory, well-written and has a good humor in it. Characters are funny also.
The spice is very low 🌶️/1. There is a build up and it stayes the whole book, but maybe it could be more spicy.
Somepoint it was little naive, but it’s ok.
