Rate this book
More strange doings at Bird Song Bed & Breakfast David Dean's stepfather Fred O'Connor and adopted daughter Martha are in full swing with their Internet search business. Once again they've attracted a bizarre assortment of guests to Bird Song. The lodgers are intent to find either a forty-year-old plane wreckage or an illusive hermit of long residence, both rumored to be somewhere in the Big Blue Wilderness of the San Juan Mountains. Dean is far too busy to help in the questionable quest. His hands are full. Sheriff Lydia Larkin has disappeared, just days before her reelection bid, and Deputy David Dean is suspected of involvement in her suspicious absence. The Sheriff's opponent, a married boyfriend and ex-husband join the hunt, complicating matters further. It's not until Dean learns the Sheriff too was interested in locating the reclusive wilderness dweller that the two matters merge. Dean has no choice but to venture into the treacherous back country in hopes of finding answers.
