Reptile is scary but there are many interetsting information to devour. The four kinds of reptile are alligators, turtles, lizards, and snakes. Each kinds has its own unique. Each plays different ways to maintian their living.

From this book, I learned that reptile is group of group of animals with cold-blooded and they are verevartes means backbone. All the reptiles have scales on their body. They lay egg too for next generation. One interesting thing about them that they use their unique way for communication. They used their body, for signal. They are very skillful using the eyes, ears, and tongues for vision and hearing their surrouding. Also, they spend most of their time in temperature between warm and cold. Reptiles do not like to stay at overheated area on the hot summer but they go to shade, or water to cool off.

I really enjoyed reading this author's book and series of First Field Guide, because these books all about science and exspecially ecology or biology. All the books are not just the word, also with photographs. I like the book that's related to our real life and giving lesson. Therefore, I did not regret I chose this book for reading.

There's also a problem for reading this book for me. Since I am so freak out of snake and I always need to be careful when I turned the page. From here, if I want to recommend this book, I will say people who are interested in reptile and not scared of any reptiles, go ahead your own discovery with the book. On the other hand, this book is also a good source for teachers because the photographs and caption makes teaching easy for kids whom wanted to learn this book of animals!

This is a great book for children to reference when they spot reptiles and amphibians in the wild. Each book has the 50 most common amphibians or reptiles in North America. It displays picture of the animals as well as descriptions and great facts about them as well. This is a great book for the students that love to explore and want to learn more about animals that surround them. Because it is affiliated with the National Audubon Society, it also gives ways in which we can protect these animals and take care of earth. I can really see this book inspiring students to become scientists as they flip through the pages. I hope this book encourages students to play outside after school and hunt for animals they might find. It could also be used in class if a school is by wildlife or wetlands or could take a trip to places we might be able to find these animals.
