Together, they find themselves running for their lives, trying to stay one step ahead of being caught and taken to Terminus X. Time's up, They're back!
Hi, I'm Matthew Gene. I am a published author with Progressive Rising Phoenix Press. When I'm not writing, I keep myself busy with a variety of creative projects, driven by my obsessive need to stay productive. I often work on videos, crafting book trailers for fellow authors, producing music videos, or editing drone footage I've captured. In addition to being a licensed drone pilot, I'm also a certified private pilot. Regardless, I hope you enjoy the site and thank you very much for visiting, even if it was by accident.
MG A native Texan, Matthew grew up in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area and found a love for music and the bass guitar at an early age. He started playing in bands as early as high school, some of whom were: Xpedition, Love Coma, The Mudcats, iMi, Crüeligans, Break My Fall, and Empiires.
During this time, he has shared the stage with: Pat Travers, Tangier, Tora Tora, Sixpence None the Richer, MXPX, Red, The All-American Rejects, Texas Hippie Coalition, Drowning Pool, Fuel, Puddle of Mudd, Candlebox, Saliva, Evans Blue, Eve 6, Faster Pussycat, Sebastian Bach (Skid Row), Geoff Tate (Queensryche), LA Guns, Trapt, P.O.D., Tesla, and Sevendust. He was the bass player for the house band on the Drew Pearson Live show during football season 2019, which aired every Sunday morning at 11:30am on Channel 8 (WFAA), and has an endorsement with Ernie Ball Musicman. He recently resigned from playing bass full-time, but music will always live in his heart.
Matthew currently lives in Crowley, Texas with his wife Karen, author of Mr. Owl and the Little Boy, and their dog Diesel.
The author pulls you in right a away. Several story lines develop nicely and merge in a tale of intrigue and terror that you find hoping never develops in real life. The stuff of nightmares and horror movies. Matthew Gene creates characters who live and do their best to survive in their own worlds despite the atrocities of man and government. Extra terrestrials and secretive branches of government are evil empires in themselves, and when unscrupulous humans are thrown in the pot, you don't know who to trust.
This is a quick read once you get the groove of the story in mind. However, I found myself looking back a few times to identify a character and their nature and motivation. Some of the dialogue and narration dragged on and could have been shortened. But this imaginative story will keep me looking deep into the eyes of strangers who come across my path. Well done Matthew.
