My Review:
This is a very short, very sweet story. Quin MacEgan is cousin to the MacEgan brothers of the series. Brenna is the much scorned daughter of a whore. Can Quin help her overcome her shame of her mother's profession and give in to her feelings for him? You can find out by reading this free short story for yourself.
One of those little 45 minute reads you can read online at Harlequin. This one involves a cousin to the MacEgan clan, Quin. Brenna turned him down for marriage because she feared the intense desirous feelings he ignited in her and accepted the betrothal of a man named Aimon, for whom she felt nothing. Quin returns from a trading journey to tell Brenna that Aimon is dead and that this time he won't let her go. Except that he has to return to Iberia to rescue the captives they left behind. Brenna fights her attraction, but eventually agrees to wed Quin whom she realizes she has loved for years. She overcomes her fears and marries Quin just before he leaves. But will he return to her?
Cute little story. Not really enough length to establish some strong background on these characters and I feel like Aimon and his behavior probably should have been discussed a bit more. Still, plenty of sexy time for Quin and Brenna and she does eventually move past her past - except she doesn't really resolve her guilt about Aimon... This could have been even better with a bit more length to it, but was good for a shortie.

Ok I really liked this ebook! If was very interesting and though I wish it had given a little more info on both the character's pasts, I loved the storyline. The whole she didnt want to be with him because he made her wet or whatever lol ;) was a little ridiculous, but still an all right side-thing. Simon turned into a total ass at the end, I mean sure it had to suck to come home after being a captive and find your betrothed already married to another, but he didn't have to be such a dick about it. I can't wait to read the other books in the MacEgan Brothers series. They all sounded great!

An excellent quick read. Sometimes it's hard to read novellas when there is so little time for the hero & the heroine to get to know each before falling in love but Willingham does a very good job of hooking the reader. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I can't wait to start reading Willingham's "Taming Her Irish Warrior".
Picked this up at the library - and I have to be honest - the reason being it has a hot guy on the front cover! Enjoyed this. The building up of trust between the main characters is quite realistic I thought. Was a little surprised at the ending when you find out who was behind the raid (no spoilers from me though!) Will look out for the rest of the stories in the group.
