About the author

The Rev. Father Carl E. Schmöger, C.SS.R., (Karl Erhard Schmöger) was a priest and author of the nineteenth century. His lengthy and comprehensive Life and Revelations of Anne Catherine Emmerich, printed in two volumes, details the marvelous facts surrounding the life of the titular saint. The work received approbation from the Rev. Peter Joseph, Bishop of Limbourg, in 1867. Father Schmoger's book was also published by TAN in 1976.
