Christmas. A time for family and friends for most, a lonely winter day at the office for me. But this year could be different... this year there's HER.
It’ll just be another day at the office. I’ll grab a cold turkey sandwich and a lukewarm coffee.
Same as every other damned Christmas.
I have people who've helped me get to where I am today. They're the closest thing I've ever had to a family, but it’s just not the same.
And this time of year always rubs my nose in it.
Alone again, with the world at my feet and an empty throne beside me, ready for my Queen.
But where is she? Who is she?
A little air to clear my head answers both questions in a split second.
Like a Christmas angel, she appears. Perfect and ready. Willing and able to do what nobody else can or will right now.
Help me remember who I am.
I don’t know if I’ve died and this isn’t quite heaven yet or if she’s an angel come to guide me through to the other side.
But heaven can wait because I’ve got everything I need right here.
Forever.
My angel.
Mine, dammit.
Forgetting Christmas is an Instalove, Alpha Romance from top 100 author Flora Ferrari. See Steve and Holly get their HEA in this steamy holiday romance!
I'm not going to rate this book because I don't think it's fair to rate a book when I haven't finished it all the way, but I will say that I couldn't even make it to 10% with this one. The premise was ridiculous and unbelievable. An uber-wealthy man makes the bone-headed decision to walk all over town, withdrawing a gazillion dollars from multiple ATMs and then is mugged once the thugs realize he is carrying a boatload of money. He falls to the ground in a city area that apparently is full of enough people that they all get annoyed with him flailing around, blocking their path on the sidewalk, but where NO ONE but a weird beautiful woman who had been following him (?!?) because he's so gorgeous take the time to try and help him. He's fallen hard enough that he has amnesia, but no one insists that either the police are called or that this guy gets to a hospital. No. I guess the best solution here is for the guy to go home with the stalker girl who had been following him. He doesn't know her. She doesn't know him. But this is what forms the foundation of this story. Don't do this at home, kids! At this point I was out. I knew this was heading into a heavy amount of romperoo between the sheets until, magically, these two strangers will fall in love. I could tell I was going to hate the whole thing, so I did myself a favor and jumped ship, despite my normal need to finish everything I start. But, do you know what? The Christmas season is short, and there are enough middling-to-good Christmas romances out there that I deserved to spend my Christmas this year with a book that would bring me joy. No stars for this one. I didn't like it at all.
Steve is a successful man who is determined to give back to those who were there for him in the past, but his attempts are thwarted when he is robbed. He now finds himself with temporary amnesia but the one good thing to come out of the situation is that it brought Holly into his life.
Christmas isn’t turning out the way that Holly planned as not only is she alone, but she is now unemployed and about to become homeless. She doesn’t hesitate to step in when Steve needs help and they find what they have been missing in their lives in each other.
The chemistry between them is intense and their heartwarming story is sure to put you in the holiday spirit.
The beginning is unrealistic and medically dangerous.
A wealthy man going to an street ATM so can stock up on hundred dollar bills in order to give to the children of the poor & orphans where he was raised. First, ATM at most in banks shell out $800.00, store ATM $100.00 no more. Second, millionaires & up call their banks the day before to let them know that they are coming to the bank the following day for a big withdrawal so they can have the amount on hand and how they want it. Example: $100.00 dollar bills, etc... Especially if it is more than $5,000.00 in cash because people simply don't carry that much, don't have that much & majority use their debit card. Three: He should have gone straight to the hospital for the threat of concussion alone and God knows what other complications are yet to be seen down the line. I mean years down the line & he's bleeding with 2 lumps in his head and she listens to him and doesn't take him to the hospital. I don't think a person who was cold cocked, bleeding with 2 lumps on his head is in any condition to think straight much less be attracted or physically excited below the waist. He have huge headache and the only thing he be thinking about is how to get rid of it.4# The people that robbed him in real life would have A)shot him for resisting, B) they would have gone to the nearest computer and had a party with his cards. C) Identity Theft D) Everything should have been reported immediately to the police and hospital. The story could have been done in a way that is more realistic and believable. Example: after the hero gets robbed, she takes to the hospital and reports what happened to both the hospital and police and stays with him to make sure he'll be alright & to be a comfort to him because she feels familiar to him even though he doesn't know who he is. He is also drawn to her bravery, compassion and kindness at helping a stranger. That's my opinion but the author does excellent work.
Sister O’Halloran was almost begging Steve Carter to come visit the children in the hospital. It had meant so much to them. His usual Christmas dinner was a cold turkey sandwich and vending machine coffee. So he wouldn’t be missing anything important. The Sisters had helped him back when he was a sickly child and he continues to pay it back to others.
He left the office and decided to stop at several ATMs to get cash to hand out to the children in the hospital. It brightens their day to be able to help their parents put good on the table. But when his wallet is full, his is mugged by three guys, the back of his head injured, and his money is taken. Holly tries to help him, but he refuses to let her take him to the hospital. However, he can’t seem to remember what happened to him. So she takes him home for Christmas. Is she the answer to his loneliness? Will his Christmas Angel return the love he already has for her?
There is more to the story for you to enjoy. Will justice be done and the thieves pay for what they did? And how will this entire experience change Steve’s life going forward? Grab your copy and share his story.
Finding His Queen When He Wasn’t Looking - Steve thought he had died and gone to heaven when he opened his eyes after the attacked and the first person he saw was Holly. Even though he suffered from amnesia after hitting his head, he felt an inexplicable connection between them. When Holly decided to be a Good Samaritan when she saw Steve being attacked, the last thing she expected was for their interaction to be the beginning of a life changing experience, that led to a family life she could only dream about.
I really enjoyed reading this wonderful, well-written story, with likeable characters who are going through real life problems and sizzling intimate moments, that had me totally engrossed the story from the first page. I will be happy to recommend this fantastic book to family and friends for their reading pleasure.

In this book we meet Holly Winters & Steve Carter. Holly is a girl living paycheck to paycheck and she just got laid off. She doesn't know where she will find the money for the rent that is due. She is determined not to give up though. When she sees Steve on the street she just knows something is going to happen. What she doesn't know is when it does it will change her life as well as his. Steve is a man who knows where he came from and is determined to give back. The thing is when he is on his way to the orphanage he gets cash along the way and gets robbed. The hit he took to the head makes him forget who he is but he is sure he has seen an angel when he sees Holly. Can they find a HEA or when Steve regains his memory are they over?
Another amazing hit by this author. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
A beautiful Christmas read This is truly a magical read. Steve decides that he will make a trip to the hospital to see the children, he decides to get some money to give them for Christmas out of numerous cash machines. That is when he is mugged and they take all his money. The thing is Steve is left with a concussion and no memory. But the one thing that does happen is he meets his angel in the shape of Holly. When he refuses to go to the doctors she takes him back to her apartment to look after him, and the attraction and chemistry between them is just lush. That day changed everything for them. This is just a beautiful read that I just couldn’t put down it left me with such a warm fuzzy feeling just in time for Christmas. Could it have been fate Them meeting? I know I’ll be reading this book again.

Flora Ferrari has done it again and this time with a beautiful story that takes place around Christmas and was also wonderful to read just before the holidays. Steve and Holly are both having a bad day, because Steve is attacked by a group of men and Holly is without a job and doesn't know how to pay the rent because of it. The attack leaves him with amnesia but that doesn't stop him from developing feelings for her and the longer she takes care of him the more the feelings between them grow and the chemistry and attraction gets stronger. This is a great storyline and the characters flow nicely into the story. This is a recommended read.

I liked her previous story but this book does not click with me. It's a Christmas story and everything is perfect but my logic fights me on some things in this book. There are just some things that doesn't fit: 1) he's a millionaire who personally withdraw large amounts of money from several atms without his security; 2) the thugs who robbed him left him his wallet; 3) his quick recovery from having a concussion that cause him his temporary lost of memory.
The MMC is too good to be true. Well, it is Christmas, so I give it that. It's still a nice read though. You'll just have to suspend reality first.
I liked the epilogue except the last one.

Flora Ferrari's newest novel is an entertaining, age-gap, over-the-top instalove holiday romance surely to heat up your Christmas. Forgetting Christmas' Steve and Holly come from two different worlds, but when she witnesses him being mugged then injured, their separate lives are suddenly enjoined. Losing his memory, all Steve cares about is the angel who came to his rescue; while Holly recognizes he is a man of means compared to her suddenly-unemployed self, and fears that once he finds out who he really is, she'll just be a distant memory. Steve is determined to make Holly his queen - will she give him the chance, especially when they both learn his true identity?.

For Steve it is just another day at the office, cold turkey sandwich, Christmas is no different than any other day. When he goes for walk, he never expects to be be jumped and hit on the back of the head. Next there is an angel cradling his head in her lap, he has no memory of who he is.
Holly saw the three men hit him and went to help, he does not know who he is, so she takes him home with her. He obviously has money and would not want someone like her.
Holly helps Steve solve the mystery of who he and they get real close along the way.

The premise of the story is good. However, the stupidity of the main male character leaves a lot to be desired. As a businessman who gives money to children in the hospital every year, he knows better than to be walking around at night with a large amount of cash on himself going to ATMs to get cash out. You would think he would have had the banks pull it out earlier and gotten the funds brought to him or went earlier. Anyway, the characters flowed well together despite him not going to get checked out for a head injury. The romance was on par, though. All in all, it's a cute christmas story.

Holly and Steve meet when he is robbed and hit on the head, giving him amnesia and needing some stitches. Loved these characters as they both step into his world and he sees things like he used to. Locales are vivid, Friends at the office and hospital are wonderful and deeply caring. Plenty of steam, along with secrets, revelations, hopes and dreams brought to life. Great storyline that pulled me in right from the start, plus an equally terrific ending and many epilogues that bring a tear or two.

This was such a sweet Christmas Story. Steve is mugged as he's on his way to the hospital to see the sick kids and has promised Sister O'Halloran he will visit. After being hit with the gun he ends up hearing an angel's voice. After Holly saves him Steve is not letting her out of his sight. I love that this is not one of her normal stories and that the billionaire has amnesia. I loved the storyline and the characters. This was such a great romantic Christmas Story. Highly Recommend.

Steve is a billionaire that is walking alone in a dangerous neighborhood when he's attacked for his money by three men. Holly sees this happen and rushes to his aid. He's temporarily lost his memory so she takes him to her apartment. They learn more about each other to find out what he remembers and after a misunderstanding they get together. There's a lot more to the story though.
A lonely man with misfortunate events that happened but brought him the one that can make it all better and love him forever. She helped when no one did and brought him a sense of belonging he never had even if you couldn't remember. He will do anything to keep his angel and you are going to love this story right to the end.

Forgetting Christmas was a great read by Flora Ferrari. Steve and Holly live in two very different worlds but they are brought together when Steve is injured the he is mugged by three men.
