I love this gentle, tender board book that explains to children the importance of their baptism. The soft colour pallet that the illustrator uses in her artwork enriches the text making the book easy for little ones to understand visually what occurs on their special day.
Children are made aware of the promises that family, friends and the church congregants make during this touching and meaningful ceremony. The author has included four simple prayers to learn and pray when the child is able to do so. The language of the book is simple and the message given is powerful...little ones are very important to God and those around them.
This would be a perfect gift to give at a baptism. The author has included a beautiful dedication page to personalize the book making it a keepsake for sure. I highly recommend it.

Baby Dedications are important to Christian families and churches. Dedication reinforces that the church family and the child's family will pray and share God's love. It is a important responsibility and God is pleased when we raise our children in the way of the Lord. The board book explains what dedication is to the family and the church. It is important for children to know how special their dedication is to God and others. Helpful prayers at the end of the book is an added bonus for parent and child.
