Grace Williams

by Malcolm Boyd

Malcolm Boyd's Grace Williams is the essential introduction to the life and work of one of the most distinguished twentieth-century composers of Wales. No previous Welsh composer scored for the modern symphony orchestra with such skill and individuality as Grace Williams. She helped to place orchestral music in Wales on a new footing and she brought to the concert hall for the first time a distinctively Welsh flavour.
