I got this book through a Goodreads giveaway.
I've read half and I'm not finishing the rest. This book is a collection of his thoughts on spirituality. Or something. The writing isn't great, so sometimes it is hard to tell what the point is.
He says that humans will overeat and animals will not. This is simply not true. Some animals will eat as much as they can get. '
He says that our bodies restrict our souls, and that disabled bodies put more restrictions on their souls than healthy bodies.
He frames some food as good and some as bad.
He has a lot of emphasis on self discipline as the path to spirituality and therefore health. He even says that one meal can lead to a lifetime lack of discipline. And, he thinks that somehow people in the past had more self discipline. Furthermore, somehow self-discipline "of the mouth" is the source of all problems. Not lack of connection, not societal issues, but control of our mouths.
Oh, and somehow minerals have "the purest soul nature," above plants and animals. I don't know why anyone wants to be more like a mineral, but there you have it.
