Generations of the Vernon family have been involved with Rislington Rovers Football Club—otherwise known as The Rogues. But now the Rogues are faced with relegation and an ongoing investigation into the club's financial affairs—and the mayhem within the club is matched only by the turmoil of Vernon family life. Eleanor Vernon, wife of Rogues stalwart Landon, hates the influence the game has on her family—but things are about to get much worse. The Rogues are seeking a new chief executive and the shock appointment threatens the very core of Vernon family life.

About the author

I've had novels published by Robert Hale and Ulverscroft and have also self-published. I love writing, the relationship between pen and paper and what's going off in my head at that particular moment in time. When I'm not so occupied, I enjoy walking in the Derbyshire countryside (good for writer's block!) or playing my guitar, rather badly, I have to say. I'm also a keen football fan and alternate Saturday afternoons can usually find me cheering on the Rams at Pride Park.
