My daughter loves Elmo and out of the 3 Elmo books we currently have I think this one may be her least favorite. She’s 1yo and I think this one may be a bit too wordy for her. She listens but doesn’t seem as interested as she is when I read Elmo Says or Elmo Loves You. I may keep it in our collection for later use.
Summary: This book teach's children the alphabet. Kids get to learned about sesame street characters. Elmo takes the reader through a adventure on a familiar street.
Review: This is a good book to read to young children. Elmo makes learning the alphabet fun. Great resource for parents and teachers.
In Class use: Great to read during circle time with young readers
This was a very basic Elmo ABC book. Covers everything in a cute, captivating, and clear way. I would use if i were teaching very young students or possibly second language learners.

Synopsis:"Elmo the little monster cannot decide which is his favorite letter of the alphabet, because he has favorite things for almost every letter."
My Review: Why haven't I seen more books like this?! They make tons of cards with music and this book used the same concept. Granted Elmo just says a brief line about loving ABCs but it still totally lit up Munchkin's world. The story was simple and goes through the letters trying to find Elmo's favorite but every letter stands for something he loves.
Between 3 and 4 stars. Salo really likes it. I would like the letters to be larger or brighter or something. Each letter appears by itself, within the text, twice in a color other than black. It just doesn't stand out to a toddler learning letters. Better for an older child that already has some familiarity with letters.
Elmo's ABC Book is an ABC book written by Sarah Albee. This is a very simple ABC book for children that are first learning their ABC's. The children gain interest in this book because it is about Elmo from Sesame Street. This is a great book for beginners. It is very simple but also very catchy. I will use this book when I first introduce the ABC's to my classroom.
Elmo is also a great Sesame Street character that I loved as a child and really helped me learn quite a bit as a child and I think it could be just as beneficial today.
This book would be great to read to younger students because young children love Elmo. In the book, Elmo cannot decide which is his favorite letter of the alphabet, because he has favorite things about every letter. After reading the book to my students, we could have a discussion about what their favorite letter is and why.
