We live in a fast paced society where stress seems to be the normal. However, just because it may be normal does not mean that it is good for you. So how do you beat it? How do you slow down and de-stress?

50 Ways To Feel Great Today is full of easy tips to minimize the stress and blues in your life. It is an easy-reading book with short, stand-alone chapters. Each chapter covers one way to feel great today and offers explanation, a personal example or two, and information or resources to help you further. Rather than just tell you to "free your inner artist", the book includes a link to an easy way you can do it from the comfort of your own home.

This book would be a great one to use as a spring board to doing new things this year. Why not buy the book and do one thing each week? You would even have two grace weeks!

I enjoyed the randomness of the book and the creativity it sparked in my own mind. While, there were several things that the authors said that I do not agree with 100%, I appreciate very much the overall idea of this book. This is not a book to cure depression or the fix that will make you feel better, but rather a good book for those who are looking to add spice to their day that has been forgotten in life's busy routine.

in one respect, 50 Ways To Feel Great Today: Keys to Beating Stress, Worry and the Blues really had me at the title. after all, who doesn't want to improve how they're feeling? but then there was that skeptical side of me, that felt as though the book cover was offering more than it could possibly deliver. so i cracked it open...

each chapter is one of 50 suggestions of things that almost everyone can do with little or no cost, that will enhance their life within a short period of time. from simple things like 'make a memory' and 'save your day with a nap', to some that require a bit of planning, such as 'schedule a massage' and 'visit a museum', this book is packed with great ideas whose only goal is to help the reader enhance their life.

none of the suggestions are earth-shatteringly original, but given given the relentless everyday-ness of life, it is the simple things that we tend to overlook, and most need reminders for.

i recommend 50 Ways as a resource to help view life from a different perspective, or simply pull one out of the doldrums.

I found the suggestions easy to grasp, and in many cases, easy to implement into your life.

In fact, one idea “kidnap someone you love” seemed quite fun and adventurous. (Basically, you plan either a weekend get-a-way, or an afternoon adventure for someone you love – aka. a spouse, sibling, family member or close friend – and plan all of the details so they don’t have to worry about it. Then surprise them with the adventure in an unexpected way.

In all, while many of the suggestions in the book are not unique, the authors have woven together 50 helpful ideas that will remind people, male or female alike, to step back and take care of themselves.

Who knows, you might just find yourself flying a kite, if you take one of their ideas to heart.

We all tend to get caught up in the everyday routine and the stress that comes right along with it. This is a great "quick fix" to help you shake up your routine and your outlook on your life. It's the little things that shape our perspective's of our lives and this book was a perfect reference guide to keep me on the right track. The little suggestions in this book can create a huge impact in your life over all.

I enjoyed that it was a simply quick read for those who are dealing with stress in their lives. Most of the things that they have listed are simply no-brainers that anyone can do. However, it is always a good thing to see a different side of things for when you do need to feel great.

So I pulled this off the shelf because the title intrigued me. It's got some fine suggestions, but overall the book is meh. I was not inspired.
