Know Thyself

Rate this book
A collection of stories of humour and darkness, greed and awakening; each tale with a woman as the protagonist. These stories explore the myriad ways women perceive their lives, and how events can inspire remarkable change. In one a woman makes a selfish choice and pays dearly; in another, a wheeler dealer shows us it’s never too early to start the game. In some stories, lives smothered by obligation are relieved due to unexpected challenges. Sci fi, horror, adventure and fantasy These are short stories of varying length, style and subject bound together by the fact that they all explore the lives of women. From a comic rewriting of Pretty Woman, to a historic tale set in the Warsaw Ghetto during World War Two, to a supernatural event on the remote English coast, there is something here to appeal to everyone. Through careful characterisation, vivid description and illuminating dialogue, Know Thyself tasks itself with the formidable feat of exploring womanhood, in all its incarnations Read these stories and find do you know thyself?
