I really should have paid more attention to the subtitle of this book. When I read the word "Coach" in the title, I was hoping for more ideas on how to develop and shepherd your children. This is written more as a practical idea book. Maybe a good book but not what I was looking for.
Through trial/error the author, wife/mother; art teacher; coach devised/implemented 7 coaching strategies to make her 5 kids, + 2 adopted & other players into an all-star team.

An awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very professionally written religious connotation family values book. It was extremely easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great description list of unique characters, settings, facts etc. to keep track of. This could also make another great religious connotation family values movie, PP presentation, or better yet a mini TV series or even a documentary (A & E; History channel. There is no doubt in my mind this is an extremely easy rating of 5 stars.

I think I expected too much out of this book. I was expecting a book that would encourage me in how to rally boys (or children in general) and speak to their hearts as a mom. It was nothing of the sort. It was your typical early 2000s this is how you manage your time and home to fit in with typical American society. She sent her children to school and clearly buys into your modern narrative. This might have been helpful for me 12-15 years ago. Not helpful for homeschooling mom of 12...
I'm giving it 2 stars for a couple of really encouraging stories about what YHWH did! One really showed the faith of her children and how YHWH blessed their faith when she had none.
I can't recommend this book for so many reasons, but I can't say it's a bad book. It's just too focused on us and living the worldly life in a supposedly Godly way.
This was a book that we studied in a ladies Bible study at church. Brenna gives lots of practical application on how to make life easier and better organized. Many of these tips are things I have learned either by trial and error or my mom did growing up, but even for the few nuggets of new stuff, the book was worth a fast read.
Brenna has a ton of useful information within this book. It was definitely a work of the heart, and you can see how she has poured herself into it. While I may be a bit advanced for many of the ideas, what with my preteens and teenagers, a young mother trying to juggle everything could learn quite a bit from this book.
This book has "coached" me into being a better mom and wife. Brenna Stull is practical and encourages you to prayerfully consider which suggestions to implement without making you feel like every one will always be perfect for every family.
After listening to Brenda at a MOPS meeting, I knew I had read this book. This book has really helped me get organized with a little one. A Definite must read for anyone with little ones.
