Definitely the most enjoyable "manual" I have ever read! It goes far beyond just techniques of freediving and discussed physiology, yoga, mediation. I recommend it to friends as a great read even if they are not interested in freediving.

In preparation to learn freediving as an experienced scuba diver, this book is a good introduction in a structural way illustrating step by step knowledge and approaches.
I like the introduction of apnea. It mentions that before we are born, that’s kind of the state in mom’s amniotic fluid that we can associate with freedive.
The physical and mental fitness, equipments, and water immersion those theories are very similar and transferable from scuba diving.
Some of the concepts and techniques are hard to pick up from textual descriptions. I need to Google online videos to have better understanding.

I found this an interesting read. It includes a lot of useful tips and takes information from a variety of disciplines to inform the reader. Of course, no substitute for actual, real-life training, but a good reference guide and food for thought regarding structuring exercises and improving freediving capacity. I'd say that some of the sections feel a little out-of-order, providing information too late for it to be as impactful. Otherwise, good content throughout.

I dream of freediving at least once a month. It is something I've attempted to do since I was a kid. When I was young, I wouldn't open my eyes in the pool, so I learned to listen and could tell when I reached the edge of the pool. I never lost that ability. When I freedive, I prefer to keep my eyes closed. This book has a bunch of informative practical skills to apply to apnea diving. Enjoy!
