Some people have an idea for a story and others are a story teller. Sara Bell is a story teller. Her characters come to life, her ideas are intriguing and her talent is clear.

This was a novel and unique approach to a ghost story. My only wish was she had developed it into a full length novel. There is certainly room for more in this story, and in fact is probably the only Sara Bell book that I feel is incomplete. That’s not to say this story leaves you feeling as if you are missing the final pages, just that there is more I wanted to know, a sequel would be perfect. But as a short read it fulfils the requirements. Interesting story, believable characters and a love that survived lol.

ETA Yeah this one definitely has more story to tell. A shame as this could be a great spooky story. Re reading this one I do feel that I am missing the last few chapters. I think I need to nock a star off but at the same time for nostalgia reasons I'm leaving it on.

I really enjoy the book. I love the emotion that it triggers, between two guys who well, have a history between them. My only 'problem' is the length. It feels a bit too short, the ending is abrupt, that I'm hungry for more than that. And the problems with the angry ghost/demon has never really been solved.

One thing about Sara Bell- she is excellent at putting a short story down with a great amount of depth. Very few of her stories seem rushed to me and then only in a certain point or two.

In this one, it was the cleansing of the spirit[s] from the house. The history and explanation was given for them and then glossed over, puzzle pieces put down that just didn't quite fit right.

As for the characters, them and their history is good, well done, and neither over-drawn nor undersketched. It was only when the current haunting was tied in to the past that things sort of went downhill in my mind.

Sara Bell hasn't disappointed me yet, and this was a nice story!
I like paranormal stories and this one had the makings of a really good one, but unfortunately the 'ghost' part was left unresolved.
The love story was nice and I liked it, but also felt a bit unfinished, I needed another chapter.

I've read several books By Sara Bell and this one I felt was incomplete. I would liked to have known what happened with Marc's demon problem since it was brought up in the story. I'm hoping there will be a second part to this story but who knows.

The end is incomplete like there was a longer story or a sequel planned.

This story had such potential to be so much more! I loved what was there but the story felt incomplete leaving me wanting to know what happened with Marc, Dean and the supporting characters.

Alright, that was just plain weird. I get that this was just a relatively short story, but… The hell? It ends without resolving the demon issue. So yes, the couple get back together and tentatively work on their new relationship, but meanwhile the demon death threat is still at large, plotting to kill them? Um. Not exactly a reassuring ending. Huh.

Such a strange non-story.

At least there was zero talk of procreation. :P
