A compiled list of “jacks” useful for the large RV user. Since I have a camper van, about 2/3 of the book didn’t apply. I did learn that my minimalist campervan approach will save me the majority of the hassle that rv owners experience, for the sacrifice of space.
I have lived and travelled in many RVs for many years. I was only the helper to a person who had full knowledge about RVs. I learned quickly what to do when "battening down the hatches" before the RV moved -- securing doors, securing chairs, etc. so you didn't have as many surprises when you stopped. We also had a routine for when we stopped at a camp as to how the RV was set up and who did what and got so good at it that it took 10 minutes to be done and ready to relax. So when I came across this title at the library, it caught my attention. I did not read the book word for word, rather I flipped through each section, scanning the information, and slowing down to read sections that I wanted to know more about. Lots of useful information for beginners as well as seasoned travelers. Includes information about driving with an RV, selecting an RV, picking the right place to camp, setting up camp, creating more useable space in the RV, traveling with kids and pets, working while traveling (the computer/media section was very interesting), etc. I especially liked the Hack #183 CREATE A DIY OUTDOOR HANDWASHING STATION and Hack #253 USE A WAFFLE IRON TO MAKE ALL KINDS OF FUN MEALS
Real-world travel tips for living and working on th
From people who have been there and done that. Good ideas on managing costs, from food to campsites to gear. And great tips for managing internet and phone usage methods and hacks you can use at home, too. Best hard-earned knowledge I have seen in amy travel guide or book. Tips for remote working while traveling are very helpful.
I bought a bunch of RV books to learn about RV'ing and camping and many of them had duplicate info, or common sense stuff in big print to try and make the book longer.
This book is great. I should have bought it first. 😁
Concise writing over a wide range of topics. I initially bought it an an e-book but I'm going to buy a paper copy to keep in the rig.
Even though we are full-time RVers for the last several years, the book had some good tips and reminders for us to utilize as we’re on the road. Well done and easy to read, whether you read it from front to back as I did, or choose areas that are of the most interest to you. Well done Marc and Julie!
The RV Love team have done it again! This super down-to-earth guide is chock full of useful suggestions & important safety tips you never knew you needed. I would highly recommend this to anyone navigating (or like us, considering) the RV lifestyle.
Great hacks for all RVers from newbies to the most experienced! I highly recommend this book and guarantee that there will be a few hacks that will prove helpful to you.
A lot of great information in this book. My husband and I are new rv owners, so have a lot to learn. This is an easy read and understand. Websites and apps are given as well as good tips and tricks. Will be trying them out.
I'm pretty sure this book is just regurgitated blog posts, BUT it's actually very helpful information and it's convenient having it all in one place rather than scouring through the Internet. It's definitely worth a read if you're a newbie RV owner or considering an RV.
This book is great. It provides an excellent reference for all things in the RV world. I will keep this work in my active library for continuing reference.
Being a newbie this book has been invaluable. I have already employed several of the offered hacks for my planning for trips. Certainly a recommended read for any level of Camper!
Sorry not to like. I've been RVing about four years and I just didn't find very much here that I didn't already know. If you are relatively new to the pasttime, go for it!
We have a camper van, so not all the tips apply, but I did learn some tips and tricks. There are many good ideas in this book. It is an easy read and worth my time going though it.
