Miranda has been traumatized by events in her past and shies from emotional commitment. She does affairs, not relationships. But soon she finds herself confronted with not one but two men who claim that she's the one for them…forever.
Marco and Theo, two full-blooded Tylwyth Teg fae, are desperate to make Miranda theirs. And even if they're feeling jealous of each other and possessive of her, they know they must join forces in order to win Miranda's heart back from her fears. In order to show Miranda that she's in "good hands", Theo and Marco convince her to spend a weekend in sexual submission to them.
One weekend of incredible sex with two gorgeous, strong and dominant men? Miranda doesn't have a problem agreeing to that. Although anything more might be problematic. Especially since there's someone…something that intends to make sure Miranda, Theo and Marco never get their happy ending.
Anya Bast is the author of numerous works of romantic fiction, mostly all paranormal and mostly all scorching hot. She lives in the country with her husband, daughter, eight cats, a dog, and an odd assortment of rescued animals.
She grew up in Minnesota and still favors the colder climates. After high school she moved to the southeast United States where she attended college. While in graduate school she sold her first book and decide to pursue her lifelong dream of writing instead of a career in psychology.
Somewhat reclusive by nature, she can be drawn out with a good bottle of red wine, classic movies, or good music. When she’s not writing, she can be found trying to grow organic vegetables, shopping in thrift stores for that perfect piece of clothing, or dreaming about travel to some faraway country.
She’s hard at work on a brand new series for Berkley Sensation right now, while winding up her national bestselling Elemental Witches quartet.
This book let me know I read way too much smut. I have come to equate the word "curls" with pubic hair. Our heroine in this novella had a head of "curls" and I could not get past the image of pubic hair on her head. Took me out of the story way too much, but once an image gets in my head it's really hard to get it out.
I felt a little like this was a book #2. We started out with our main characters having a chat at a table that I felt I should know more than I did. If this was a second book, it wasn't readily marked that way, and I am probably docking stars when I shouldn't.
We get a menage with fae here, and these guys are pretty angsty for being old dudes. But they had some killer lines. "Do you see how you fit with us, Miranda? You're a puzzle piece. The one that makes the three of us a picture." Yeah. I'd melt there.
This read quick. And kept my attention. Would definitely read more by this author. 3.5 stars.
Though they aren't acknowledged as a series, Seduced in Twilight (Olivia, Will, and Mason's story) should be read first to compliment Miranda, Theo, and Marco's story. Still, neither read is completely fleshed out (tee hee...no pun intended) as IMHO these are early short works of the author and no where near the intricate plots of her Elemental Witches or Dark Magik (my personal fav). Enjoyed this for the smexy of it...not because it's a "deep, deep" read...pun pun pun. 3.5 stars because Anya Bast rocks ;)
I'm going to keep this review short. Sex was hot, not much story, characters were OK and not fully delved into, and the paranormal angle wasn't exactly exciting. Still, since I read this because of the erotica, I gave it a 4 because Ms Bast wrote it so well. There's mild BDSM, M/F/M and explicit language.
A ver... Historia corta... el sexo caliente, los personajes estuvieron bien, no mucho contenido, introduccion a lo paranormal rapida y concisa.... Estuvo bastante bien en general...
