Ecclectic collection of candid stories of rich people and rising social or psychological tension. Written by the guy who helped synthesize the first oral contraceptive (the father of the pill), the stories range from being about real egg-head scientists and all the ego of publishing papers, to emotionally void yuppies whose mental games always result in a twist at the end.
Mostly pretty entertaining, and it's nice to see real, gritty science and publishing, but some of them fall flat, are very, very 1980s, or lose themselves with sex jokes.
I found this book in my father's stuff I have no idea why he bought it he doesn't even read in english. Maybe he intented on giving it to me... Anyway this book is pretty cool. I really enjoyed the sense of humor of that author.
