Book Description:
Once they were Vikings who abandoned the old ways, seeking lives of peace and prosperity in an unknown land. Now they're vampires, immortals cursed by the witch of a dying race. For a millennium they've lived lonely lives, preying on mortals, trying to hold on to the last remnants of their humanity.

Alrek. Once a great leader, he left Greenland's shores with his best friends to start over...only to lose his wife and baby daughter. In modern times, he lives only for his own pleasure...until he finds Charron—the woman who may finally end his suffering.

Úlfr. Tucked away in a remote village of Mexico, Úlfr is the "Dark One". To assuage his hunger for blood and pleasure, he accepts the sacrifices offered by the locals. Until he is offered the beautiful virgin Roja—the very woman who can save his soul.

Thórr. In his human life, Thórr had been a spiritual man, the conscience and hope for his brethren. But not even he is prepared for Mia, who believes she is not only his lifemate but the reincarnation of his long-lost love.

My Thoughts:
Yikes. I’m not sure how I quite feel about this anthology of stories. It seems to have been written very spasmodically. The stories had one central theme, condemned warrior doomed to walk the earth alone as penance for a sin, but each went in a million differing directions from that. It was like getting whiplash going from one story to the next. The funniest…and not haha funny…but pathetically sad funny was that random nakedness could occur and four poster beds could appear out of thin air…even in a cave and a jungle.

The stories were a lot on the corny site but actually could have been made into more significant stories if they were not written as novellas and crated into full length novels where there could have been character and story development thus eliminating the spastic feel.

But, as it is…it is very ungood. Yes, I’m aware that “ungood” is not a proper word; but, I think it adequately applies to this story.

I’m sorry Ms. Bardsley…better luck on the next one.

The only way this could have been better was if it had been developed into longer stories. There was plenty to be expanded on even if the premise was one that is so often used; brooding man who is cursed and needs a female to save him. Anyway even if the stories were brief they were still good and I really enjoyed this book

dnf. I had no clue what was going on in any of the 15 or so pages I read. the hero was crude and unfeeling and not appealing in any way. I was so confused and things didn't seem to get any better only more and more confusing. that combined with an unappealing hero made me think this probably wasn't worth my time
