This was ok. Lots of sex, as expected. Daddy fetish business galore. The way things played out were fairly obvious, even beyond the author trying to sway the reader as to Grayson, Luca, and Dylan's ambitions, in relation to the disappearance of Chloe. Willow, our lead, is her best friend and closest ally, but comes from a very unsettled homelife. I guess my biggest critiques here all all focused on the excessive sexuality and underdeveloped plot points. For instance, Grayson and Willow's relationship seemed to completely overwhelm any residual grief over the loss of Chloe. As in it was basically forgotten and not acknowledged past a certain point. And I really felt like there were some big missed opportunities with Willow, as far as how she could suddenly pivot so hard into such a hardcore, sexual woman, what exactly went on with her father, and anything having to do with her absentee mom. Even with Grayson, I just felt that his character was sort of all over the place with no real rhyme or reason behind any of his strange behaviors, specifically his violent outbursts and domineering, lecherous ways towards Willow. So lots of misses here, unfortunately a bit more than hits, which tarnished the whole experience. But the sex was pretty darn good, as was the quality of the writing. I'd taper expectations going into this one, especially if you are looking for anything beyond a slightly stylized erotica.

this novella was enough for me to know that this author isn’t for me.
1.5⭐️ only because the storyline could have potential - if it were written better.
the writing doesn’t pull you in or make you care, about anything, so many terms used repetitively it was driving me crazy, and most of it was pretty cringe.
and the “plot twist” was kind of predictable.
the death of the best friend/daughter was completely forgotten about???
and Willow goes from having had sex once to this intensely dominant/voyeur relationship and had no qualms about it?????
the only thing that i really liked was when Willow gave “her” car to her brother - slipping that in and not acknowledging what it actually was, was pretty clever.
i already took this author’s other books off my “want to read” list and returned this one 🫠
there are too many great authors and books out there to be heartbroken over this lol

Because the plot was actually something that has potential.
The ending caught me off guard and shook.

W…what on earth was THAT? You know when you dig into a story and you think you know what’s going on, only for the author to pull the rug out from right underneath you? Yeah, this is *that*. Entangled is author Harleigh Beck’s newest dark erotic suspense novella where she submerges readers in an enthralling mystery laced with riddles and heartache. I really didn’t know what to expect heading into this book, but what I got was something so incredible – so much so that I’ll immediately be diving headfirst into Beck’s other works.

In this novella we delve into the forbidden as we follow two souls seeking comfort in shared grief, all while the indecency seeps from the pages. We’ve got Willow, a young woman on the cusp of adulthood mourning the disappearance of her best friend, and Grayson, her missing friend’s father, who knows this crushing agony all too well after losing his wife in a similar manner. What begins as an innocent camaraderie eventually descends into a possessive coupling where it’s difficult to not question intentions.

It’s intense, it’s sexy, it’s heart-wrenching, it’s…unexpected. Found family? Check. Kinks? Check (yes, Daddy Grayson, you wear that Jason mask). A gripping narrative that has you questioning everything? All the checks. I felt a twist coming, but what aaactually happened blew my mind. I can’t say another word, you just have to read it to find out. Entangled is a super quick, steamy, dark as pitch read that ticked all my boxes, and I can’t sing its praises enough. Pick it up, you won’t regret it.

OMG EL PLOT TWIST. Es un libro corto, pero el misterio y el smut está buenísimo, nunca creerías quién es el asesino. La autora juega con los personajes haciendo que cada uno tenga algo por qué sospechar, pero al final te vuela la cabeza.

This was such a quick and intriguing read. It definitely scratched that itch for a dark suspense novella.

I love going into a book totally blind only to be met with my favorite tropes: forbidden age gap, yes please.

Along with the spice, the plot was pretty interesting too. Definitely had the suspense element throughout the book.

However, the epilogue had me floored. We love them a little
crazy? Maybe?

This is a delicious forbidden trope novella.

The mystery behind Chloe going missing will shock you to the core.
Harleigh packed a brilliant story into just 120 pages.
The plot, suspense and spice… I loved it.

IM OBSESSED with this author!!! Her stories are just so captivating! I was so intrigued with this novella I, I couldn’t put it down. I knew from the beginning that Grayson & Willow would have a WILD relationship and it was HOT!!! Great plot, steamy spice, suspenseful, will keep you on the edge of your seat and that ending??? Totally unexpected!!! 5 stars.

I loved how Harleigh explored the connection between the two main characters over the grief they're both going through, it was so beautifully done! But I guess this is not a love story...or is it? 🤔

There's a big mystery and I honestly suspected from EVERYONE. I was so paranoid about what was going on and yet I couldn't imagine what was really happening. THAT ENDING!!!! Jesus, I'm still a bit shaken after that. I don't want to say much else to not give anything away but Harleigh certainly knows how to mess with your head 🤯 I would definitely recommend this one is you enjoyed Sweet Taste of Betrayal 😍

Quick novella that is best friends dad, has voyeurism, breath play, hand necklaces, dubious cheating, degradation, murder.

After Willow’s friend mysteriously disappears, her and her friends dad find comfort in each other over the next few months.

I got to the end and was like, where is the twist? Oh okay ya there it is 😂 DID NOT SEE THAT COMING

I will say Willow grew up knowing her best friends dad. Dad never saw her that way until everything happened. Also, they do sleep together while she’s 17 still, a few weeks from turning 18. I know some people don’t like that at all so I wanted to include that here 💕

This was a really good little novella by Harleigh beck I didn't see the ending coming and I love that about a book, I finished the book going fuck what I need more 🙈🤣🤣 it's a dark romance thriller and my first official age gap book but if I'm honest I didn't mind it too much as it was more centered around mystery then it was around the age gap, I mean you know it's there and it is quite a gap but the mystery surrounding disappearances draws you away from the age which is why I didn't mind it as much 🖤 if you haven't read it defo add to your tbr its a quick easy read 🖤

In Harleigh’s typical writing style, this novella was quick and easy to devour. Willow and Chloe are your typical best friends - always together, there for each other, treating each other’s house as a second home, basically sisters.

When a tragedy strikes separating the girls forever, feelings and emotions are running high through the small town of Skelton.

However, what I wasn’t anticipating…A RUSTY LITTLE TOYOTA!?!? Holy freaking hell. I have whiplash from the plot twist that was just thrown at me!!! This a medium dark erotic romance, until all of a sudden it’s a completely unhinged dark erotic romance! Just read it, you won’t regret it! 🖤

So this is one of those books where it’s hard to write a review because you don’t want to give too much away but let me tell you I was absolutely shook at the end of the story! It felt like the first time I ever saw The Sixth Sense where I had no idea what was coming and I couldn’t stop thinking about what a crazy plot twist it was.

And don’t even get me started on the spice. Daddy Grayson is so freaking hot! His and Willow’s story is super hot but also very taboo so make sure to check those TW’s.

I was so excited to receive this ARC and I was not disappointed. I highly recommend this dark and twisty novella!

the spice was also top tier, there wasn’t very much but it wasn’t needed tbh!
