Human ingenuity, passion, persistence, ambition among other things come together yet again in this extraordinary yet very short journey of the man behind the revolutionary change in cardiovascular medicine. Whatever his ultimate goal whether noble and magnanimous or self-centered and narrow, the inventions of this tinkerer have completely changed millions of lives ever since in unfathomable ways by substituting stents as a viable option in place of bypass surgery. The book also covers the inventor's personal life, unfettered success in later life, lavish life style and ultimately the element of human tragedy.
