Muriel's Wedding

Rate this book
When Muriel catches the bridal bouquet at Tania's wedding it is the best thing that has ever happened to her. It is just like an ABBA song. All her life she has dreamt of being a bride - the long white dress and the happy-ever-after - because if she can get married it will mean she's changed. No longer will she be the Muriel Heslop her father and friends call fat, stupid and useless.

But Muriel is clever enough to see the chance of a lifetime when it hits her in the face - she grabs it and goes. What does it matter if she jas to tell a few lies ...

As Muriel travels her road to freedom she discovers there is more to life than ABBA and looking good.

In this hilarious tale of self-discovery based on the acclaimed Australian film, Muriel lives her dream only to find that reality is more fun.

This book makes you feel like you're not that crazy after all. I couldn't put it down. It's just as funny as the movie. No. It's more funny. I'll definitely read it again.
