wow wow wow what a journey. i really felt immersed into the plot and journey. i liked the way that it went in chronological order and how it quizzed me at the end of each chapter. i was a little lost at points because there were just so many characters and sometimes we only saw glimpses of their stories, and i would have loved to see them through. overall, the themes throughout this book were easily highlighted making it easy to comprehend and understand! 10/10 would recommend

this book made my life a living HELL, along with the terrible teacher that unfortunately taught me and others this course, this book is great for understanding what you're learning in class and understanding the material, but it is terrible for your mental health, your sleep schedule, and your sanity ( i can't begin to count the amount of times i've gone insane ); i'd rather cut off my own finger than read this book ever again and i doubt i'll get a good score on the ap exam but it's great that i won't need the credit for college

despite everything i hope everyone else who had to read this horrific book gets a 5 on the ap world exam :,]

I really liked this book-more as a solid supplemental resource than a core primer. It layers comprehension of content categories in clusters, offering dimensionality in an accessible language for the older high school/undergraduate set. Really good stuff, in its proper place.

A good textbook with helpful aids and strategies to teach AP World: Modern. Too bad I read this whole thing and will not use it again for teaching. I guess that is how a number of my students feel.

Enjoyable? No, but an excellent tool for reviewing and practicing for the AP Exam. The strengths of this book, lie at the end with Units 7, 8, and 9 where it provides and explains a number of examples regarding global conflicts, the trials of decolonization, and the effects and reactions to globalization. Weaknesses I would say lie in the beginning and middle chapters where I think the book has some issues with explaining the chronology of certain events. Regardless, highly recommended as a tool for AP World students.
