Boy oh boy. I saw the author speak eons ago and purchased the book. Then the book sat on my shelf for over a decade. I cannot get into it. It’s a combination of poetry and short thoughts with a smidge of religious material woven in. It doesn’t speak to me. At all. I wish it did. I’d love to learn more about achieving forgiveness. Maybe another book will be more in alignment with my understanding.

I didn’t finish it.

This was a great book on forgiveness and the key role it can play in renewing, healing and strengthening your life.

The author used a plethora of Jewish sources which strengthened the book and showed she had done her research.

I liked how she used exoeriences of her own life throughout the book. This personalised and gave authenticity to the book, which made you feel you were having a direct conversation with the author, but also helped you take away lessons that you can implement in your own life, to help you on the path of forgiveness.

As someone who loves poetry, particularly faith based poetry, I greatly appreciated the well written, inspiring and deeply moving poetry throughout the book.

If you want to understand forgiveness and the role it can play in your life and what a difference it can make, then this book is for you.

I really enjoyed this. You should go into thie book with no expectations I think. The book is less a manual on the steps to forgiveness but more so contemplations on the author's journey with it in her life.

The book brought about refelctions in my own life on people and thigns I want to apply this to. It made me contemplate questions I had about life, forgiveness, God, and how those things intersect - how to deal with them.

The book, like the concept and journey of forgiveness, is meandering and not necessarily completely sensical at times. It can do something for you though. You don't have to be Jewish to enojy this book, though it might help you understand some passages better. Either way, the book is wonderful. I found myself getting emotional at many parts but in a good way.

Highly recommend!

The Bridge to Forgiveness, by Karyn D. Kedar is a lovely book, filled with inspirational prose and poetry.

The Bridge to Forgiveness is not an extremely intense book on the subject, like some books are. There are no harsh or sharp words, and there is no bitterness or coldness. Yet, the gentle and soulful prose speaks to the heart of the reader, filling them with healing thoughts to empower them. Rabbi Kedar’s way of thinking, her stories, prayers, poems and suggestions are filled with strength, within her gentle and graceful way of relating the steps and the road to take in order to forgive another .
