Almost all of Hallie Abbott’s friends ended up with jobs for the summer, to help kick start their first year of college. Unfortunately, Hallie wasn’t so lucky, or was she? A local professor at Yale may have filled all of his program spots for the summer, but he is in desperate need of a live-in nanny. This newly widowed, overwhelmed father with two little girls and an older unhelpful son, Mason, is in over his head. Unsure of her future, Hallie accepts the job.
Hallie is thrown into the drama that is the Cunningham household. Mason Cunningham, the troubled eldest son, who was meant to be gone for the summer, is jeopardizing Hallie’s job and her relationship with friend turned boyfriend, Beck. Juggling Mason and Beck, Hallie is forced to choose between the two, all while trying to mend a broken household.
Should she stay with the boy who is familiar and safe, or fall for the summer bad boy and everything that comes with him? Can she help repair what is broken? Or will she end up broken herself.
