A blind date is usually awkward, uncomfortable, and the last thing anyone wants to do. Who would agree to spend 2 hours with someone you don’t know? Even worse, what if you were
going on a blind date for two weeks so you could accompany your date to a family reunion?
This is the situation that Chaz Ferguson ended up in after he met with a matchmaker who found him the perfect woman. Chaz loved his job and wasn’t interested in settling down but sometimes fate controls your destiny. Daphne Jade needed a date that would impress her sister and nosy cousins, so she too, went to a matchmaker at the Paranormal Dating Agency. She wanted a hot and sexy guy, a heartbreaker, a man who would be the star of all of her fantasies.

Chaz and Daphne’s blind date began at the airport where they met to begin their journey to the family reunion. Daphne took one look at Chaz with his mesmerizing eyes and sexy smile and she knew that he was the one. Chaz thought Daphne was beautiful, confident and a little shy. When she became nervous on the plane he cupped her chin, looked her in the eyes and hungrily kissed her. Chaz was surprised at how responsive Daphne was to his kiss and thought that this blind date may turn out to be better than he ever expected. Daphne was a little embarrassed to be kissing Chaz so passionately when they had just met, but she would remember this moment for the rest of her life.

Chaz is certain that Daphne likes him, but he isn’t sure how she will react when he tells her that he is a werewolf. He is not ashamed of who he is, but some people cannot accept that werewolves and humans can coexist. Hopefully when they get to the cabin he can tell Daphne how he feels about her because he truly believes that they were brought together for a reason.
How will Daphne react when she finds out that Chaz is a werewolf ? Will she be afraid of his non-human self and will her fear of the unknown cause her to run away?

Will Chaz be successful in convincing Daphne that were destined to be together? What will their families’ reaction be to their relationship? Can they keep each other safe from the outside forces that want to harm them?

Romance, suspense and the paranormal are interwoven in “The Blind Date” by bestselling author Jen Talty. This is the first paranormal book I have read and I really enjoyed it. Chaz and Daphne have an instant connection that only gets stronger when he must reveal himself as a werewolf. Daphne is never afraid of him and is equally attracted to his non-human being. She is his one true love and, as with any couple, she will be by his side until the end of time. The Twilight Crossing series continues with “Spring Fling,” which will be released in April.

I'll admit that I'm generally not much of a paranormal fan, but I decided to give Ms. Talty's newest release a try. I ended up enjoying much more than expected! It was a fun little romance with some interesting twists, and I look forward to more in this series!

Reviewed at Shifter Haven

There are a lot of good reasons to pick up a Kindle Worlds story, among them they are usually great stories within series that we already love. The bonus for me is discovering new to me authors – and although Jen Talty usually writes in another genre, she is an author that I’d like to read more of and she does write in a genre that I read… plus this new series within the Paranormal Dating Agency Kindle Worlds. So for that alone, The Blind Date would have been a fantastic find for me. The fact is that this first story in the Twilight Crossing series is full of interesting, vibrant characters, all types of Paranormals, some villains and the tight knit community that I’ve come to expect of shifters… oh, excuse me, werewolves, for that distinction between shifters and werewolves is very clearly spelled out in Jen Talty’s world.

Daphne was simply looking for a two week vacation, a sexy date and to get through her family reunion when she visited Gerri Wilder. Chaz was more bullied into his interview by his parents, and he’d agreed to this two week long blind date in order to get back to the job he loved. Neither was expecting the sparks between them – literally sparks, which should have been Chaz’s first clue since he was the werewolf here with his human companion. He really didn’t believe in the mate thing or if he did that was a long way off in the future – right until she was seated on the plane next to him. How do you explain to a human who has been taught that all Paranormals, especially werewolves are to be feared and avoided that she is indeed the mate to such a creature? Very carefully, fully expecting disbelief and anger.

I really enjoyed this world, and Chaz along with his mate Daphne were simply the icing on a very sexy cupcake. There are twists and turns, things that I really cannot mention without giving away spoilers – but, if you enjoy Paranormal Romance and Shifter Romance, then you’ll enjoy The Blind Date there is no doubt in my mind about that. I’ll be keeping an eye out for the next story in Twilight Crossing, and you should be, too.

I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.

Daphne Jade wants an unforgettable vacation fling, in order to accomplish that she contacted The Ashton Smith Agency to find that match.

Eliza Ashton selected Chaz Ferguson for her two week fling and attendance at her family reunion. The thing is Chaz didn't sign up for the agency his family did it for him, although they did let him answer the questions. The council put him on leave as well so he could decide his priorities.

These two meet up at the airport for their flight to New York and they immediately hit it off. Liking many of the same things right down to the choice of wine on their flight. While Daphne had grown up south of Lake George, Chaz grew up in Killington, Vermont. That's just a stone's throw from Lake George.

What Daphne didn't expect was that while she didn't actually know his sister from college she knew of her. It was rumored that 'Fergie', as Cheryl was known then, was a werewolf. Her family had warned her away from anything paranormal claiming all of it to be evil. In fact her whole town felt that way.

From the kiss on the plane to distract her from her fear, to the cabin and the revelation that Chaz is a werewolf this tale will enthrall you.

I loved the way the story unfolds involving their families and changing  everything in Daphne's world.

There's laughter, tears, action, sizzle and so much more!

"Be careful what you wish for!"

Daphne Jade was planning on spending a couple of weeks in upstate New York with her family. She needed a man to accompany her, as her boyfriend. Since she did not have one, she hired Gerri Wilder to find her the perfect man for any occasion. The woman outdid herself...and I must say the list was pretty detailed.

Among her wish list items was "a wild animal who would ravish her body at night and worship her during the day, a man who turned heads and broke hearts!" Clearly the woman has her priorities in order, and Gerri promised Chaz Ferguson was just the man for the job.

Seems Chaz worked to much and needed a vacation - timing was everything in placing these two people together portents of much to come but the reader will be surprised what will be revealed during this "vacation" and lives will be changed.

I am a fan of Jen Talty's work and the lady has outdone herself with this fast-paced, steamy romance that is action packed and full of surprises on many fronts. Once again, the author has earned her five stars for another outstanding story that will stay with the reader. Grab a glass of iced tea and settle into your favorite reading spot...this is a fast read and totally enjoyable cover-to-cover.

Werewolf Chaz Ferguson is a member of the Twilight Crossing Council and has spent the last ten years policing the paranormal world. When he is forced to take a vacation, and with no idea what to do with his time, a friend arranges for him to meet Gerri Wilder at the Paranormal Dating Agency promising him it will change his life (which he really does not want). Teacher Daphne Jade has never been lucky with men for her whole life and always seems to attract weird people. When she takes a date arranged by Gerri Wilder she has no idea she will be dating a paranormal, that he will be a werewolf and even more that he is actually her soul mate. To add to the strangeness of the whole situation, it turns out that Daphne is not what she thought he was either. How is this meeting of Chaz and Daphne going to go?

Wow - this was certainly a smoking hot story of the meeting of two people and the events that happened to bind them together. I liked the element of Daphne not being human and how that was discovered and how that related to Chaz and his family. I did struggle with this twist on the mating of two people which was very different from any other author I have read. Well written and easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.

Great book!

Daphne Jade is recommended by a friend to go see Gerri Wilder to match her up with someone different. She wants someone rough and wild in the bedroom. She is from a small town called Havern where they fear paranormal workd and her parents sheltered her from it as well. Daphne also needs to get her family off her back at the reunion. She is not ready to get married and have kids now but later in the future.
Chaz Ferguson is the oldest in his family and the one to take his father's placed in the pack until he find his mate. He also been working on Twilight Crossing Council for ten years that policed the Paranormal world. His family called Gerri Wilder to match him up with his future mate so he could take his father's placed. Chaz doesn't want to find his mate or become Aphla of his pack. He is pressured by his family to go see Gerri Wilder and she choose Daphne Jade for him. Will Daphne allow her sheltered upbringing prevent her finding someone that can refilled her sexual fantasty and love? You will have to read this book to find out. This story is really cute and Daphne and Chaz are great together.

An engaging paranormal werewolf romp with plenty of action and romance. Chaz Ferguson is a member of the Twilight Crossing Council where it has been his job to police the paranormal world. He knows that soon it will be time to take his place as Chief of the pack. Chaz knows that he must find his mate to ensure the continuation of his pack as they are being threatened by a rogue group. Gerri Wilder, from the Paranormal Dating Agency, arranges a date for Chaz with Daphne Jade. Now Daphne, a teacher, does not believe in the paranormal, but asks Chaz along on her vacation so they can get to know each other. The attraction between them is instantaneous and strong and soon Daphne is finding out things about her family and her talents that she did not know. A delightful “falling in love” story with the added bonus of a handsome werewolf and his family as they try to protect their pack. I mostly read mysteries or romantic suspense, but found this book to be a nice change of pace and enjoyed the action, the characters and the hot romance between Chaz and Daphne. I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to give an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)

Daphne is fed up with her mother nagging he about her dating life so she agrees to go on a date set up by the Paranormal Dating Service she has no intention of starting a relationship she sees it as a chance to see her family and to tear up the sheets with a hot stud for a few weeks somehow you just know that isn't what is going to happen. Chaz is starting to buckle under the load of his job with the Twilight Crossing Council so his bosses have forced him to take a fortnight of leave His friend organses him with a date through the Paranormal Dating Agency he doesn't really want to change his life but this will give him someone to spend the fortnight ith. Only problem when his wolf sees Daphne it only has one word to say MATE. Will she accept his other half and what is the family secret she is about to find out Will this pair have a HEA. This is book 1 in the Twilight Crossing series. It's about Chaz Ferguson and Daphne Jade. Daphne doesn't date very often and when she does it doesn't tend to turn out well. But she needs a date to bring home and decides to ask Gerri Wilder for help to find her one. Chaz loves his job and while he enjoys women he isn't ready to settle down. But when he is forced to take a vacation and accept a date from Gerri he figures he will try to have a vacation and then get right back to work. Neither realizes how much their lives are about to change.

Although this is short (it is a novella) it is a great read! Daphne makes me laugh from the start and she definitely doesn't have any trouble standing up for herself and what she feels is the right thing to do. Chaz is a typical alpha male. He is protective of those he cares about and those he feels need it in general. He still feel's like there is much he wants to do with his life but when he understands that Daphne is his mate and he must keep her safe? He steps in true alpha fashion! I loved it!

This is the first book I have read by this author and it won't the last.

Not sure how many people would want to go on a blind date that could last two weeks but that is what Daphne decides she wants. She is looking for a two week fling that will also include a stop over to meet the family. She isn't looking for a man but just someone to tear up the sheets with.

Chaz is a man/wolf who has a lot of responsibility put on his shoulders. A forced vacation and a meeting with a woman his parents made him meet will forever change his life.

This book has it all - chemistry, suspense, humor, intrigue, and sexy times.

Amazingly Wonderful

Who would have every thought a blind date would lead you to the life you were meant to have, along with a big family secret none of your family knew about.

I loved this story and could not help but sit down and read it in one sitting. What could it possibly feel like to fall in love with someone you are suppose to despise? Chaz and Daphne will discover a lot about themselves in their journey, but it was great.

Of course I would love to have seen more of the story of her parents reaction, I would also love to see more of their story.

Until Next Time.... Tabi

Never read paranormal books before, but love other genres from Jen Talty so I wanted to read. Loved it. When Daphne went to an agency to arrange for a Blind Date she didn’t expect that it would change her life. Daphne was looking for someone to bring home to her family reunion, and also to have two weeks with someone to fulfill her every fantasy. Chaz is strong armed into agreeing to be her date, and when they meet the sparks are instantaneous. What Daphne doesn’t know is that Chaz is a Alpha Werewolf, and she is destined to be his mate. Loved all the twists and turns, and can’t wait to read more in the continuing saga.

The Legend of the Princess and the Wolf.

School teacher Daphne Jade contacted the Aston Smith Agency because she needed a date to accompany her to her family reunion in upstate New York to get her family off her case about having a man in her life.
Chad Ferguson was forced into taking a leave of absence from work after his mother contacted the Aston Smith Agency on his behalf and he was matched with Daphne.
It turns out the family reunion is not too far from where Chad’s parents live which is good since once the couple gets together a rainbow of sparkles start flying, literally…

Awesome blind date ever

The human decides to have a blind date to give her mother off her back. Paranormal dating agency sent her a wolf shifter. However, it's no ordinary wolf shifter, it is her mate.

The characters are sexy, funny at times, and relatable within their paranormal bounds. The plot is intriguing and the twist is fast-paced and dramatic.

This book has one for the reader to enjoy and I highly recommend it. If I could give her more stars I would.

This is another series that I’ve read all out of order by starting with the most recent and coming back to the beginning at a later time. This story sets the stage for what I know is a strange and fascinating prophesy to come. Fated mates Chaz and Daphne have their work cut out for them. First, figuring out how to live with and love each other. Then, how to fulfil the prophesy without being eaten alive by it. I look forward to reading the rest of the books in this series.

Gerri saves the day, again

Gerri's at it again and this story drives home the reality, she's the best matchmaker in the known universe. It's fun, quirky, filled with legends and lots of danger. Our heroine has no idea of her hidden bloodline and neither of them are quite ready for what happens.

Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy!

This is the first book I've read of Jen Talty's. I was impressed. I've read a lot of the PDA books and like the series. I particularly liked all the little surprise elements to this book and the introduction of Fairies.
All in all a good read with a bit of spice!

Fast paced!

This is a new author to me. Even though the story was short, I felt the author had given us a lot of information. I liked both the hero and heroine, I felt they are a good for each other. Even though I gave this book 4 stars, it feel it should be 3 1\2 due to some editing love needed. All in all it's a entertaining read!

Hidden prophecy

Enjoyable read, Daphne has been brought up, thinking wolves are bad. So imagine her surprise when Gerri Wilder sets her up with a wolf. Chaz isn't looking for his mate, but his blind date ends up being more than he is ready for. They both have to deal with biased people, rogue wolves, and a prophecy that changes the whole ballgame. Recommend to all PDA readers.

Little did Daphne Jade realize that when you went on a blind date with Chaz Ferguson through a dating agency that she would become the mate to a werewolf. She also found out she had some powers of her own even though she is a human. I usually don’t like paranormal stories but Jen Talty has a way to make any story interesting so I took a chance and am glad I did.

Sometimes matchmakers really do know what is best for you. Daphne just wants a vacation fling. Chaz has been forced by the Council to take a vacation. The two collide into a relationship that holds many surprises such as why they were thrown together (gotta watch out for those matchmakers). If you like werewolves, this is a great story for you. On to the second book...
