Beyond Believing is a sweet, funny, and romantic story that touches the heart, serves up delicious twists and turns, and shows the reader that there’s no such thing as “coincidence.” Author D.D. Marx regards this book as her “love letter to friendship,” written in memory of her best friend, Dan.
d.d. marx is an author, blogger and inspired writer for the chick-lit genre. She is a Second City graduate, hopeless romantic, amazingly proud Aunt, a forever friend and life lover.
d.d. marx came barreling into this world with the “gift of gab”. Her parents quickly identified a pattern forming when each teacher conference contained the words “she’s a little too social”. d.d.’s biggest life concern was identifying which boy she’d be chasing at recess rather than mastering math problems. She parlayed this gift into creating play dates on the playground. If friendship were a business, she would be a millionaire. She prides her life on maintaining friends from every walk of life in every corner of the country. This is the fuel that fills her tank.
Graduating with a Communication degree from the University of Dayton, she attempted to break into the world of Public Relations but was instead side-tracked with a J.O.B. At the strong encouragement of her friends and family, who dubbed her a “funny story teller”, she stretched her comfort zone by entering the Second City program in Chicago where her itch for entertainment was finally scratched. Determined to share her story and create a legacy, she decided to combine these talents and become a writer. She returned to her alma-mater to immerse herself in a 3-day writing course where this dream finally came to life. Asked to imagine if she was a super-hero, her task was to dig-deep to describe her special powers. Based on the real-life tragedy of one of her best friends, that answer came without hesitation. All she’s ever wanted was the power to visit with him one last time. This is the inspiration that catapulted her into her debut project titled, the Beyond Series. She dove into a world imagining that he never left.
Book Tour: Beyond Forever Beyond Forever is done nicely. It more of the conclusion of the series. Though it leaves with guessing Finn best bud Mac and his wife Jules lives are like. It more to do with Finn and Olivia life is like a little before and after having their little one.
We get this feeling and how all their plans start to change. There are twists and turns throughout the book. Olivia sister Jane states they are moving to Austin, Texas. All family starts thinking about that and pondering their moves.
Finn has a surprise plan for Olivia and his little girl. He seems to be traveling a lot and his business and they want to expand their business. Finn and Tex decide to create a surprise plan for their wives.
Jules brother mentions a few time throughout the book and his ASL fundraisers. Do you realize the family is more important or not? Will Olivia get her own home that sees dreams of? Part of it that her friends are a bit important to her as well.
DD Max does a sweet job of finishing off Olivia and Finn story. I now wish to read about Mac and Jules and find out what they have. It so was like seeing how their little girl and learning more about the guardian angels are about.

I am a HUGE fan of this series. These novels are well written, witty with amazing characters. Olivia is that best friend that you have to love. She has her quirks but she is so full of life, hopes and fears. She is just that girl next door that you can't help but smile at and love with all of your heart, while trying to protect her. Finn is the man of her dreams (and many women would love to call him their hubby!) and he would do anything for her.
In this novel, Olivia gives birth to her baby. The birth was extremely traumatizing and Olivia almost loses her life delivering her baby girl. It is quite shocking for her whole family but especially Finn who lost his first wife to cancer. As Olivia was laying there between life and death, she had an out-of-body experience where she meets Dan who promises to look after her daughter. Dan and Finn's wife who passed away become the spiritual godparents of their daughter. As the novel progresses, we see their spiritual touch as they protect her, play with her and love her. I actually found this to be quite touching as I think all of us like to believe our loved ones are here with us, looking out for us and connecting with us.
This book also finds our couple recognizing the need to have family near by. Both of them are offered amazing experiences further from the location they are currently living in but will also draw them closer to family.
This was an amazing novel that was a pleasure to read. This book and the entire series is a definite must read.
The adventures and love story of Olivia and Finn continues in this exciting drama!
The couple's new baby Dani is behaving strangely. Several new situations concerning her, are unexplained.
Olivia discovers many family members are moving south.
Olivia's book is being made int o a movie...Unbelievable! Max will be directing it. She feels bad because she and Dani has to leave Finn alone so much.
Finn creates an unbelievable surprise! It is HUGE!
This is such a delightful love story between husband and wife and parents and child! It is well-written and the events are continual and captures the reader's ongoing interest.
The same touch of humor adds to the reading enjoyment. The scenes are described well. The ending is strong, if there is another sequel. If not it leaves the reader unfulfilled. **Reader Beware: There are sexual references and some profanity..
I offer a Four and a Half Stars rating *This e-book was gifted me, with no requirement for a positive review. This is my honesty review.
If you have not read these books, than you will be in for a treat. I have grown close to all of the characters as the books have progressed. In fact, I have come to think of them as family. Olivia and Finn may seem like the main characters but there really are no secondary ones. Everyone plays an important part in the books as well.
I do want to take a moment to say how happy I am that Tex found his happy ending. He has been with Finn since the beginning, so to see how find a good woman was great. Back to Finn and Olivia. They did have their relationship tested again but I knew they would pull through just fine. They loved each other a lot. Dan and Christine played bigger roles in this book as well. Everyone would like to believe that there are real angels watching over us. Which, I do believe there are. This is an enjoyable read. I can't wait to read more books from this author.
DISCLAIMER: I RECEIVED AN ARC OF THIS BOOK IN PARTICIPATION OF THIS TOUR. THIS REVIEW REMAINS UNBIASED AND CONTAINS MY HONEST THOUGHTS.
D.D. Marx closes out this trilogy so well. I really liked how this portion of the story follows Finn's struggles and how he reaches out to Dan for some advice. Dan is Olivia's best friend who was killed in an accident in the first book. Both Finn and Olivia are working on for-filling their dreams. I loved how Finn was there in his support for Olivia, and yet he was trying to do what he wanted. I will be honest, I was going to lose my mind at one point. I was on the edge of my seat, wondering how Finn and Olivia would work through this one last trial. A final test to the bond they have formed and it was amazing how it all worked out in the end. Perfect conclusion
I chose to read this book after receiving a free e-copy. All opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased. I had read Beyond Believing and Beyond Love and enjoyed them so I was looking forward to seeing what happens in the next stage of Olivia and Finn’s journey.
Olivia and Finn are having a baby! Of course, nothing is easy with them but they eventually receive the joy that comes with having a baby. As usual, Olivia and Finn face challenges but they are good at overcoming whatever is thrown at them, especially with the excellent support system they have.
Beyond Forever is one of those books in which I felt like I was reading about old friends. I liked the ending and I'm looking forward to read more books by D.D. Marx.
I have enjoyed this series from the first book I have read. I am sorry to see it end as it has been a crazy ride with Olivia, Finn and Dan. As with the rest of the books in this series. these books are a quick read. The author did a good job with the character development and you find yourself becoming friends with Olivia and wondering what she is up to. There is a little drama, a little romance and a little fun all rolled into one neat little package for you to enjoy. The scenes were also well thought out and described and I felt like I was a part of the story. A great chick-lit series to warm your heart.
Couldn't put this one down! I was blessed to have scored a copy before it was released in stores! An incredible ending to the trilogy, and, more importantly, a hope that lives on for books to come! I can't wait to read more by Marx!
This book was a great continuation of this series! I have really enjoyed this series and how each book has its own importance to the story with tidbits of the prior stories to add some depth. Even though you could read these books as standalones, I would recommend reading the series in order because you will get the biggest return in the end and appreciate all the trinkets that are sprinkled throughout the stories. The touches of the support from the beyond were a pleasant addition to the story. A smoothly written story that will warm your heart and that you will not want to stop reading.
