I found the book to be written in a very American way, so much that if you are not american, its extremely off putting: the language used, the way views are expressed (even if i agree with some of them, all of them were presented in an annoying way) and it was very hard to get through the book overall. The information itself is very beginner level. However an extra star for empowering and somewhat motivational speech.

I am all about sex positivity, but to make all things about sex and sensuality....even all if not most of the major arcana tarot cards? I don't see why one would do that.

The book and things presented are very much beginner level. No talk about energy work, these type of spells are easy to Google and aren't actually that transformative if done how they are described. Random uses of god's and goddesses for the vibes instead in a way of honouring them and their traditions. Spiritual egocentrism is written all over. How to make the ego feel better instead of doing the actual work.

I don't regret reading it, but I can't recommend it.

More “be yourself” cheerleading and general beauty advice than actual magic, but there are some simple spells included that could be useful to a new witch.

I didn't expect the intensive amount of research that went into this book and how effortlessly Thomas blended pop culture with ancient history. I learned so much about the ancient and modern history of beauty, fashion, tattoos, piercings, and body modification. I also learned some tips to help with my own personal beauty regime.

I really enjoy Thomas' voice. It's both fun(ny) and down-to-earth, like you're talking to your best friend. A great and quick read for those interested in beauty and looking to gain a little more self-confidence.

This book is plagued by the same problems found in many books on witchcraft and the occult. It’s extremely beginner level information. If you have ever seen a pintrest post about color magic then you’ve already learned most of what is in this book. If you’re someone just looking for intermediate or advanced information on glamour magic avoid this book. The information is mediocre and this author can write two sentences without being up her views on social issues and politics. That’s fine if this is what you’re looking for but I find it to be off putting no matter what their views are on said topics.

DNF the research on references to movie actresses and artists wasn't double checked and made it super hard to get through this. My suggestion author double check references. Inwish I didnt spent 20 for an ebook.

The grimore section had very few good spells

I woulda liked more practical tips in this book like incorporating magic in every thing like skin care makeup etc instead of just learning the history of it i don’t know

Sophie's previous books came my way early in my ~witch~ journey, helping me explore my intuition with fun wordplay and spells. Glamour Witch delivers the same quality content with a splash of glitter and lots or rich history. Definitely add this book to your altar!
