This is an excellent book. I have read several books on Luke already, but this one still added immensely to my knowledge and understanding. It really helped me to see the human person that Jesus was, as well as the divine person. It may sound odd, but I now have immense respect for Him as a human being. Its not that I didn't respect Him as a human person before, its just that I never thought that much about it, I guess. The author's goal was to get his readers to really know Jesus, and I must say he accomplishes this goal very well. I feel like I know Jesus so much better now, and of course this can only serve to help me get closer to Him. This is a book of meditations and can take quite a while to get through (even though its a thin book, but its well worth the time!
