THE STORY AND TEACHINGS OF THE AETHERIUS SOCIETY
Coauthor Richard Lawrence wrote in the Preface to this 1996 book, “The latter part of the second millennium A.D., has seen an abundance of metaphysical knowledge of all kinds being made available, for the first time, to humanity as a whole… At the same time as this ancient, formerly secret knowledge has become available to the world as a whole, an apparently new phenomenon has also emerged, namely UFOs… Into this maelstrom of philosophical change stepped His Eminence Sir George King… he was to combine a mastery of the mystical and Yogic sciences… with a unique series of close encounters with extraterrestrial sources spanning over 40 years… The Aetherius Society was formed to propagate the Flying Saucer message as delivered by and through Sir George King… [who] stands head and shoulders above all the other modern day contactees… there is no organization in the world like the Aetherius Society, which has remained consistent … over a period of 40 years… That is why I was delighted to be invited by Sir George to coauthor this book with him…

They assert, “As science and religion come closer in the Aquarian Age, the existence of higher frequencies of matter will be seriously examined…. Metaphysicians believe that all life is contained in a sea of energy which vibrates at different levels… by understanding the concept of higher frequencies of matter, all these questions can be answered… Once you accept that there are many realms of existence around this Earth, new possibilities are opened up for the Universe as a whole… Space probes to other Planets in this Solar System will only discover what they are permitted to discover by the inhabitants of those worlds. They do not use the same basic frequency of physical existence as us, since they vibrate at higher rates caused by their greater Spiritual advancement. Their science includes the ability to travel through the levels … which causes them to be invisible on this level. This explains the ability of UFOs to disappear and reappear…” (Pg. 20-21)
They state, “many theoretical physicists now regard tie travel as a possibility. For time travel to take place, there must be some kind of distortion in the parameters of Space and gravity… Sucha distortion could be caused by the existence of so-called ‘Cosmic worm hole,’ which would be even more extreme combinations of mass, energy and gravity than a ‘black hole.’ Of course, all this is pure hypothesis and based upon certain preconceptions which may well turn out to be wrong. One such preconception which is being increasingly rejected is the fact that the speed of light is the ultimate velocity…” (Pg. 23)
King recounts, “The Martians whom I had met previously smiled in greeting. His golden-brown skin---completely hairless---was without a wrinkle. I already knew his age to be over 300 years and marvelled at his youthful appearance.” (Pg. 25)
They say, “It will no longer be enough in the New Millennium for religions to hid behind the concept of a ‘leap of faith.’ … it is not good enough when asked a searching question to merely call for a leap of faith. Any religion worth its salt can be tested.” (Pg. 28)
They argue, “There is an illogical tendency among some people to assume that all truly great, miraculous events happened in the past, but could not possibly happen now…One example of extraordinary Divine intervention it the close encounters which have occurred with Sir George King, He has a unique record of extraterrestrial contacts and has demonstrated it more surely than anyone else…But just because he is contemporary, some refuse point blank to accept his claims.” (Pg. 31)
They contend, “The Master Jesus was not, and never claimed to be the one and only Son of God. Such a belief denies the validity of all other religions and is the kind of dogmatic teaching which will gradually disappear as the Aquarian Age dawns in the new millennium. This does not mean to say that Christianity will disappear---far from it. It is a wonderful, living philosophy introduced by a great master Who originally came from Venus.” (Pg. 40)
The book explains, “The following is a description… of this extraordinary event, known as ‘The Command,’ which was to shape Sir George’s Mission and thereby change the world… ‘Prepare yourself. You are to become the Voice of Interplanetary Parliament.’ … I had not read any books before that time about Flying Saucers, and knew nothing about them save the trifling information which was … in the popular press.” (Pg. 48-49) “The Master Aetherius is a very advanced Master from Venus whose pseudonym … literally means ‘one who travels through the ethers of Space.’” (Pg. 52)
It acknowledges, “Everything you are going to read in this book depends upon your acceptance of Sir George King as a genuine contactee with people from other worlds… The Aetherius Society is not a ‘converting’ organization. We are not out to convince people that we have a cone and only way, because no such thing exists… [George King] was born on January 23rd, 1919, and was psychic as a child… Following … his ten years of intensive Yoga practice culminating in ‘The Command,’ he founded the Aetherius Society in 1955 in London… In 1959 he went to the United States… In 1980, Sir Goerge was Knighted by the Orders of Saint George and Saint John… Sir George was born under the sign of Aquarius---fittingly, since one of his tasks has been to pave the way for the Aquarian Age.” (Pg. 53-54)
They assert, “there were previous civilizations on this Earth, millions of years old.” (Pg. 58) “The Hindu writings … [are] indicating that a former advanced civilization used foul weapons of war to bring about … destruction.” (Pg. 61) “There are similar echoes of nuclear fall-out in the Biblical story of Sodom and Gomorrah.” (Pg. 62) “The Cosmic Transmissions delivered through Sir George King have gone further than any other writings on Earth to explain the true history of mankind. Behind all the activities of Lemuria, which was destroyed in an atomic war, Atlantis, which was also destroyed in an atomic war, and our current civilization who have not been allowed to directly intervene to prevent us from our nuclear folly, but have helped wherever they were allowed by Karmic Law.” (Pg. 64)
They go on, “The Cosmic Masters teach that there are six vibrational frequency … realms, above this physical realm. When your physical body dies… your mind and soul … goes to one of these realms for a waiting period. The realm you go to will be determined by your deeds in this life…” (Pg. 88-89)
They predict, “there will be another Coming. This will be the great Avatar prophesied by so many religious movements through the ages… Not only does this fit in with other prophecies which speak of a time of tribulation and cataclysm just prior to a new Golden Era. It also reveals that the Son of man will come in a cloud---which… is Biblical terminology for a UFO.” (Pg. 140)
The book concludes, “I have no wish for you to join the Aetherius Society, but I warmly invite you to investigate our Teachings.” (Pg. 151)
