Once Upon a Bite
What was a woman to do from the 21st century that found herself in the past with all its quirky customs? Elena Smith was there to recover a Vampire, several of them and save a small child. Vampires weren’t the only things she encountered there. Wolves and Werewolves wanted to tear her apart. There was only one man strong enough to protect her, only one man that would believe her. She had to rely on him at all costs.
What was a man to do who fell in love with a beautiful woman who had a fifty foot Warring Angel for a guardian? Especially since he was a Vampire. Cameron Thomas had given up on life and only waited to die until she brazenly came to seek him out. She smelled of roses and offered him a chance at a brand new start. She was there to save his daughter but he wanted her with a fierce hunger nearly beyond his control.

So, I was slightly confused as I wasn't sure what time period this was set in at first.
AND... then I wasn't sure if this was supposed to be a sequel to Gypsy Spells, Gypsy Bells. Elena's gift is exactly the gift that Belinda (the child) had. And I couldn't remember Belinda's name, so for a while there I was thinking that this was a sequel and it was that little girl all grown up since she knew Braun and had the same power.
Once I got my head around it, I enjoyed it.
Not much really to tell... the characters were fleshed out enough to be passable. It was a fish out of time story.
It was enjoyable.
