Good Night, Little One

Rate this book
Every day is an adventure for a child. Some days are exciting and fun...other days are hard. Like the sparrow, children often discover it's hard to be small. Like the skunk, they sometimes act like little stinkers. But every day, God is there - loving, guiding, and protecting each little one through the challenges of life.
Filled with charming illustrations and soothing, read-aloud bedtime rhymes, Good Night, Little One follows God's creatures - bunny, sparrow, porcupine, skunk, and more - as they nod off to sleep, reassured of His great love for us all, big and small.
Within the pages of this newest release from acclaimed illustrator/author Steve Björkman, children will learn more than a dozen different ways God expresses His love and care for His littlest creatures. It's a story boys and girls will want to hear again and again, and it provides parents the perfect opportunity to gently remind their children how much God loves them, tonight and every night.

This is a sweet Christian bedtime book that shows different anthropomorphized animal parents putting their kids to bed. The parents and kids talk over the day, and my younger brother always loved the pages about the rat with his tail in a knot and the skunk who was a stinker that day. The book expresses lots of different moods and types of days, and ties in different encouragements from the Bible about each one. The illustrations are cute, and the book is sweet and reassuring.

Aww, this book is adorable. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has small children. It teaches kids that no matter who you are or what kind of day you've had, there's always someone watching over you and you're perfect just the way you are. With all of the bullying and low self esteem children and young adults have now, the message of this book is a good one to get through to children.
