'I live by a quote that I once picked up from Tom Peters. The quote is from General Eric Shinseki who 'if you don't like change, you're going to like irrelevance even less.' Disruption affects everyone. B2B, B2C, small, medium and large organizations. Even those who are the disruptors are now being disrupted. What's a brand to do? Thankfully, Minter Dial and Caleb Storkey have the answer. "Futureproof, Get Your Business Ready For The Next Disruption" does, exactly, what the title states. Be ready or be disrupted.'

'Today, neither agile, precarious startups nor lumbering, momentum-merry global corporates have the formula for endurance. The new world requires a responsive business but it demands accountability. Old models put profits first - new ones, social impact. Futureproof offers a playbook for the scary and thrilling landscape that all companies are now forced to operate in. It's both eye-opening and educative, yet fiercely practical. No one in business should be without it.

Disruption and change are challenging us all right now and in Futureproof Minter Dial and Caleb Storkey bring some clarity and understanding to what the key disruptive forces in our lives are, at work and elsewhere. The book focuses not just on the mindset shifts that are needed, but the authors aren't afraid to remind us of what is important as we think about our lives more holistically. Many stories and interesting case studies are engaging, while the book provides helpful and actionable ideas throughout. If you are trying to craft a strategy to survive through the upcoming technologically charged years, this book will certainly be very helpful.

A thoroughly useful read! My husband and I run a business together in an industry that is constantly undergoing disruption and Futureproof helped me to mentally reframe how we plan for and strategize around future change. Dial and Storkey helpfully break the process of prepping for various disruptive forces into three parts: (1) identifying the disruptive force, (2) determining what to do now, and (3) determining what to do next and offer helpful prompts to get the reader intellectually engaged with the process of prepping for the future.

The authors' practical approaches to change can be applied to any different or more granular force of change and are far more pragmatic than my instinctual reaction to change, which entails (1) noticing something is changing, (2) freaking out, and (3) procrastinating around actually addressing the change while losing sleep as I ruminate about said change but fail to build any practical solutions.
