This series is starting to get on my nerves. It's the same plot over and over again. This time, no one got kidnapped, so that was a new twist. I had a really hard time with this one. Do you know how many times the word "winked" was used?! Like a million, no joke. I have never been so annoyed with this series as I was with this book. When the blurb said it was going to get back to the "vampire roots", I was hoping she meant that. She didn't. Derik and Sophia are there, they don't play a huge role in the book. I don't understand how we are getting back to the roots when were are so far away from it. Nothing exciting happened in this story. The characters are just like EVERY OTHER character. There is nothing special about them. They are cocky, annoying, arrogant, and know it alls. I'm sure this will end with every one finding their soul mates, getting married and having babies. And the next "series" will be their kids getting kidnapped. It's a cycle that never ends and it needs to.

I liked it, but it was just ok this time. I think it might be because It's the first in series 7 and is not used to the characters yet. I think I just need a couple of more book in this series to get used to characters and things. Though I think in time I will enjoy this part of the series as much as the rest.

51 books later and Bella still has it! New and old characters make it so easy to fall into the book and not be able to put it down! Be prepared action,adventure, and more! This books really needs 10 stars but since 5 is the only option that's what I go with!

So happy the be back the shade. It was an amazing read. i got so into it i read it all at once. i you like fantasy you'll enjoy this series. The way bella rights them they are done in a more realistic way that you can picture the characters like they are real. Not like other super natural books are. With each book it's something new. The twists and turns are addicting, you always want more.

This felt very much like an introductory book to the season, simply made to get us up to speed on character changes, character and location additions and the starting us off on the plot which will be a mystery that the youngsters of gasp have to solve (alongside jax, hansa and patrick). It lacks substance but makes you want to read on so it's not all a waste. It rings similar to the layout of the last series, with some of gasp shut off from the rest of the team however this has potential to bring in those characters more which would be a welcome change.

My favourite character arc at the moment is Harper and Casbian. I'm not sure whether the relationship will turn into a lovers or haters one so that is intriguing. I'm hoping for something different to her falling for him as at present she suspects is isnt so good.

Different title, same old plot

After reading 51 of Bella's books, I find she tends to rehash her plots. For the first 50 books, her main characters are young men and women who get kidnapped and all fall in love with their kidnappers. I had high hopes for book number 51, when she introduced not a kidnapping but someone coming from a different planet seeking help. Unfortunately, although there has been no kidnapping of our main characters, she is once again using the artifice of having this planet cloaked so that no one is able to get InTouch with the heroes of the story, nor are the heroes able to get in touch with anyone who could bring them help. Come on Bella, try using your imagination in some of these books rather than the same old formula.

Yes!

Wow Bella Forrest never ceases to amaze me...another creative adventure that does not disappoint! This takes place 3 months after the war defeating Asherak/Azazel. We find out how the new couples are doing and we get more on Hansa and Jax which I love!! The new mission is cool and mysterious and I already feel connected to the new GASP members trying to find answers to this puzzle. Of course what I love most is the attraction and build up of the potential new couples and I can't wait to see how it all unfolds...seriously, the next book can't come out fast enough! Bella definitely left us with an intriguing cliff hanger and my mind is blown!!

Shade 51

Another story by a great author ..interesting how the shade story has continued this far and of course each story has an interesting twist..sometimes I do get confused as to who's kid is whose however that does not take from the actual story...hands and had seem to be like the perfect couple and I'm anxious to read more about what is happening between them..I can't wait to get a few more books in this new adventure
