Very nicely drawn, colourful illustrations add massively to a fairly lame, fragmented story about a thumb-sized bloke who goes on sundry crazy adventures that combine to make little sense as a whole story. I suspect this was quite an ancient Grimm's Fairy Tale, Celtic myth or similar, but has been translated, softened and edited beyond recognition for modern children's sensibilities. Even so, it might entertain them a little. 3.75/5
