Clara Falkner tempts him in a way no human has for many years... He can never have her, for he is wolf ... changed long ago, and a human cannot enter their world. But Raoul Etienne knows he cannot allow the woman he has been watching to become the vampire's concubine. At the risk of war with the Vampires, he breaks the pact and gives Clara his own mark. And thus begins his erotic branding.... But will it be enough to save her from the vampire's kiss? Graphic, explicit sex, language, and some violence.
A love of the dark and mysterious spurred Celeste's imagination through her teens and into adulthood. She was always reading a horror book well into the night. It was only natural that she captured those stories swirling in her head down on "paper." And she's been loving every minute of her new writing career.
Born and bred in Louisiana, she loves setting books on her native soil and most especially loves writing about those sexy Cajun men.
Celeste loves hearing from fans. Readers can email her at celesteanwar@yahoo.com.
Vamp is after girl and delivered 2 out of the 3 necessary bites to turn her for his own companion. He thralls her so that she has no idea this has been happening to her, but she is getting weaker and has memory loss.
Werewolf sees this is going on and interferes with the vamp... also making love to the female and marking her for himself.
The vampire doesn't appreciate this and violence ensues.
3 1/2 stars...wow that went fast! It felt more like a "scene" than a book...but what was there was very good! I know what to expect now...so the next one should be a blast!
This book was a short, fast-paced read that left me wanting more! I love the characters. The alpha wolf who wants what he thinks he can’t have, and the vampire who takes what isn’t his, and of course the poor unknowing woman stuck in the middle. The author kept me enthralled until the very end and I can’t wait to read the next book.
I wanted more from this. It actually reads like something that SHOULD be longer and because of that I'm left disappointed. That is not to say this isn't a good book, it is, just too short for my liking.
A quick read. The characters were a bit on the grungy side. It was an insta love story culminating in a laughable declaration of love. I am not continuing the series.
I would personally find someone I didn't know watching me for three nights straight creepy not alluring, but maybe that's why I haven't found myself having sex in an alley outside of a club.
I think the story has potential but pivotal moments like when Raoul reveals his lycanthropy felt rushed and Clara's acceptance too quick, not to mention her even quicker "I belong only to you!" declaration at the end.
I'm hoping the following books are better. And even if they aren't, I'm in it now and will ride it out to the end.

This story had good ideas, but the delivery was very average. There was room for potential but it came up a little short. Not a bad read, just not great.
