This is a 3.5 star for me, the story was nice to read but I found it a bit tiresome at times. Both MC were stubborn and the story was just a bit too drawn out. There some interesting themes with archeology and satanic practices, however not a lot of time was spent explaining those aspects so it felt rushed and out of place in the end. .
A far fetched mystery of a stolen ancient statue and the death of two girls father. A wealthy nobleman says that he is the girls guardian and tells the oldest girl a tale of another nobleman that killed her father and stole the statue. They both vow to get the statue back and have the killer pay for his crimes.
This installment of the Kenyon/Rosebuds Series was a little too fanciful for me. Somehow the H/H relationship never did seem to make a connection. I found myself skipping through all of the 'intimate' scenes. There was a little mystery involved so I didn't skip over that, but otherwise, I give it a "lukewarm" rating.
