A Reader's Guide to A Seat at the Table is intended to add another dimension to the original book. This reader's guide walks through A Seat at the Table chapter by chapter. Each chapter includes additional material • The author’s take on the chapter.• The author’s motivation in writing the chapter, including the personal experiences.• What has changed between the Waterfall/contractor-control world and the Agile world.• The key points of the chapter.• The concrete actions that IT leaders should take away from the chapter.• Questions to help stimulate further debate.• Further reading to explore the topic.• And more.
This reader's guide is a nice companion to "A Seat at the Table" and a nice refresher if you read the book a while back. It is organized nicely to provide both a good summary of points in each chapter and to poses good discussion questions. It certainly would be a good complement to the book itself for a team reading group, but well worth it just on its own as a way to remind yourself of the ideas in the original book without investing the time to re-read the full book.
