Contemporary Human Behavior A Critical Perspective for Social Work, 2/e is the first HSBE text to approach the subject from a comparative theory perspective, providing coverage of the most current and contemporary theories as well as traditional theories. Each chapter includes coverage of the research that supports a particular theory, as well as an analysis of the validity of that research; each chapter also includes a discussion of updated “Contemporary Issues.” New features to the 2 nd edition include updated content in all chapters, as well as new content New theoretical content added to the textbook represents the most contemporary and cutting edge content in theory that is not usually found in other human behavior or theory textbooks.

Didn't think it was a great book to use.
1.) Didn't care for the order that the theories were presented in.
2.) Thought that IF this book is only meant to be an OVERVIEW than the authors went way overboard on their "wordiness" in their chapters... especially chapter 10.
3.) Since it was suppose to be an overview of human developmental theories, it gave many, many theories and their main contributors.
4.) Critical perspective is code for Abstract. (Not that this is a problem, just a note.
