Transporté dans le temps à la fin de l’époque shogunale, le médecin Jin Minakata fait la connaissance de Ryoma Sakamoto qui l’entraîne dans le quartier des plaisirs de Yoshiwara. La rencontre d’une courtisane de premier rang du nom de Nokazé, puis une intervention de Jin sur son employeur leur fera connaître l’endroit plus avant : sous l’éclat éblouissant du luxe se propage le mal de la vérole dont souffrent les courtisanes… Jin décide alors de se lancer dans un nouveau combat !!

Motoka Murakami (村上 もとか Murakami Motoka?, born June 3, 1951 in Setagaya, Tokyo) is a Japanese manga artist who writes primarily shōnen manga. He won the Kodansha Manga Award for shōnen for Gakuto Retsuden in 1982 and the Shogakukan Manga Award twice, for shōnen for Musashi no Ken in 1984 and for general manga in 1996 for Ron, serialized in Big Comic Original from 1991 to 2006.[1][2] In 1998, he received an Excellence Prize at the Japan Media Arts Festival for Ron.

Syphilis and penicillin. And the introduction of Yoshiwara the Red District as well as Nokaze, the Courtesan.

I see that the dorama has been very faithful to the manga, except when it comes to Miki. I am glad I've watched it before reading the manga since there are many similar-in-looks characters, such as the doctors and it would have been a little hard to remember who was who.

Le docteur est en danger (il y a toujours des jaloux). Sinon toujours pareil, il soigne des gens. Pas de grande progression dans l'histoire, c'est un peu decevant.
